Rep Power: 0 I wanted to add sidemarkers but was worried about rust problems. After shopping through possible sidemarkers I came across an MB SLK and noticed they had a rubber lip to keep water, etc out of the hole. What better to prevent rust than that. I went to the nearest MB dealership and bought the kit.

Rep Power: 0 i used the diy instructions from this site and installed them...but using a dremel to cut the large hole and the sheet metal nibbler to slowly expand it...i also used primer spray to seal against rust...the hole doesn't look pretty but it is even on both sides and has a good seal

Rep Power: 0 LOL I just noticed I have the same jack as you Jaje. How much did you pay for yours? I went down the Pep Boys, and it was marked $80...so I was like hmm that's a lot, but it will do for now, and then I'll return it when I'm done. I went to go pay for it, and the chick was like $29.95 I was like SAWEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!

Rep Power: 0 less than $50 including virginia tax
the SLK is the small mercedes convertible
wiring was easy...all you have to do is tap the turn signal lights which are in the wheelwell
i got the jack and two jackstands for $50 at trak auto...the jack is nice...the jackstands aren't that great...they get jammed easily and you have to bang it with a hammer to get it unstuck

Rep Power: 0 Looks like mine except mine came from the factory with the car...
If you want a real JDM OEM look, reverse the way you put the sidemarkers in - wherein the side where the bulge is bigger is nearer the door..get what i mean??

$60 cash at Save-On-Autobody on Olafsson Street in Richmond, 4 or 5 blocks west of Ikea... they got templates set up and everything... perfect job twice now for me... if you need markers, on the other side of Bridgeport is Revolution and you can buy the markers for $30-40 depending on the style you want.

you are really smart to chose SLK high class side marker.
I personally going to chose side marker from VW or audi 2003.
I am so convinced those after market side markers are soooo cheap. I compared them with BENZ, Audi, VW OEM markers, they are not even comparable!
smart to get from BENZ!

Rep Power: 0 I just order all six parts from my local MB dealer and it cost me $38.30! I'm so jacked, the dude said it'll be about a week or so before I get the parts! I can't wait! I'll get some pics of the final product as soon as there done. I have one question though, what size are the bulbs that fit in the blinker (194?)? Thanks. Peace.

Rep Power: 0 neomagus: if your afraid you'll mess something up then you can get it professionally done and all you'll have to pay is labor. If you want it that bad its worth it and you'll be happy

hi,
jaje, I have a question for you...
the profile of SLK marker is flat but the fender of civic is a bit curved, so do the marker fit perfectly or there will be some little space between marker and fender after install?
the reason I ask is because I want to install VW Jetta marker on civic...according to you, will I have problem?
thanks!!
