What are you guys using for a pre-workout pump ?? Currently, I guzzle down a cup of coffee about 30 min before working out. I was thinking about trying a NO product. Has anybody used them and how did they work ??

When I was hitting the gym hard, I would take "Adenergy Stack," which is basically a creatine with some extra kicks. It really gets me going when I'm ready to hit the gym. I can go for a really good half hour in the gym doing nothing but super sets, or spend up to an hour doing super sets the first half, and then just doing a few more sets of whatever I feel like after... but when I take this stuff, I head to the gym and I'm doing super sets for nearly 2 hours and feel great when I get out.
I know other people take junk like no2 or whatever or that nos stuff thats supposed to dilate your blood vessels and stuff. No thanks. Coffee doesnt sound like a good idea being that it can dehydrate you.

Two hours isn't even productive. Even professionals hardly spend longer than 90 minutes for the hardest of workouts. As for coffee, yes, caffeine is a dehydrating agent, but if you are drinking enough coffee that dehydration is an issue, you are either not drinking enough water or you are drinking an inhuman amount of coffee.
Nitric oxide products are fun but yield no lasting results. They basically make you feel good, which may make you work harder, but no guarantees. A lot of people go with NO-Xplode or Superpump 250 but you can get 85% of the effectiveness for 25% of the price using L-Arginine (1-1.5g should be good) capsules and caffeine tables (200mg).
Yeah well dont get me wrong - I never have 2 hours to spend in the gym, but when I do have enough time I usually spend about hour n 15 minutes at the gym with usually the first 10 minutes streaching and running a few laps, then my lifting routine, and then a cool down of pretty much super light sets or someting aerobic like at a very low intensity. But most times I get to hit the gym its with out any supplements prior and about a intense 25 minute routine of supersets.
L-Arginine.... hmm, never used that. Whats do you use it for?

L-Arginine is basically the active ingredient in NO products.
L-Arginine is a amino acid that is the main ingredient in the NO, products. It has a role in producing nitric oxide, releasing growth hormones, and regulating sodium levels in the body. I have heard that people have used it with great success. For the price of NO products, it definitely isn't in my budget. I prolly will try using arginine. I use coffee because I like it and it is cheap. I do take sugar in my coffee, so I try to limit my intake of it.
BTW...... nice to see you still on the site white2K2EX.

Thanks I've had a weird trip with forums over the last year or two.
Another trick I like is to drink a lot of green tea. It ups my appetite and I end up eating more which translates into more energy.
Gakic and N.O. Xplode. Thats all I take before I workout. Also, start taking protein too. 100% Whey protein (something from 15-20grams per serving is good). Don't buy soy protein! Unless you want to boost your estrogen lvls and start crying like a little girl, lol.
I hope that this helps!

1. Gakic is 100% Grade A Texas bullshit unless your workout goal is a cutting phase for your wallet. At 18, you must be baaalllllllllllin' to afford such overpriced products on a regular basis.
2. They actually make 15g/serving whey protein powder? I wouldn't mess with anything below 24g/serving (that's ON 100%'s current rating).
^ oh I forgot all about that gatic latic static luctak or whatever crap. I heard good things about it... but its wayy expensive.
In all honesty, anybody who sings the praises of Gakic or Leukic or any other MuscleTech product is A) being paid or B) doesn't know what they're talking about.
Trust me - if you go to any bodybuilding show and ask the guys what they think of it, they'd tell you it's about as effective for muscle-building as a 6-pack of Snickers.
So true about Muscle-Tech products. I used to take them back in day of my late teens. I used to take Hydroxycut, Cell-tech and Acetebolan II. I was shelling out alot of money and got little results. Acetebolan II did work and helped me pack on a few lbs of muscle.
Right now, I supplement with ON whey and Prolab Glutamine. I am gonna grab a container of ON casien protein to mix in also. I workout from 8PM-9PM. I take whey, but I am gonna take a scoop of whey and a scoop of casein at the same time before I hit the sack.
