Hi, I have been thinking about this for awhile. Okay I am 5'9" and I weigh 180 lbs. I played college football for a little, but I think I'm done playing, because I can't move the way I did in high school. Am I over weight?
i am 5'7-5'8, and weigh 172.. i think i am a lil overweight but noone else thinks i am. remember, muscles weigh more than fat, so you can't just go on how much you weigh. i personally think that the bmi index is wack because you can have 5'10 athletes that weigh 230lbs with 5% bodyfat. according to the bmi index, he is overweight...
Damn I am over weight that's crazy. Again muscle does weigh more, so I shouldn't feel bad should I?
what you need to ask is if you're "overfat." i'm same as you. 5'9" and 180. i don't pay attention to my weight so much as my body fat %. i don't get measured or anything, but i can tell if i'm getting out of shape if things start fitting tighter than they did mainly in the waist. my fitness levels vary a ton based on how much i go to the gym. 2 years ago i was 180 but about 6-7% less body fat and putting up 300 max on bench. right now i'd be lucky to get up 225. if i pinch more than an inch of fat on my stomach, then i know i need to get to the gym. whether or not i get there is another story!
i understand wanting to look good for a girl. The girl im currently talking to, likes me for me, but im also try to build some muscle up because i know she'd like it. ya know, just small stuff to make someone else happy. But yea might sound cheezy, but she'll like you no matter what u look like if she's worth anything.
Well I work out at this private place where football players go since our gym is shitty as hell. It's worst than a AA high school gym, anyway the guy that runs the place has 4 workout days. Each day focuses on different muscle groups. The thing is, is that it works really good every where else, but I'm not getting any AB's.
