Well, i dont know what to say except dont call her chunky lol dang lol thats funny, also let me tell you now, let her win the argument, if u say you arent chunky. it will only lead to the "do you think im fat" quote!!! OMG!!! NO!!!

It depends on if it's fat or muscles. My friend is 5'9 and weighs around 175, but it's mostly muscle 'cause he works out 24/7. Then there's another friend who's 5'8 and weighs that much...he is fat. lol. So it depends if it's fat or muscle for you to classify yourself as overweight.

you don't turn fat into muscle. muscle is built by eating tons of lean protein and lifting weights heavy. fat is burned off by eating properly and tons of cardio. to tell you what diet and cardio can do for you, during a 6-month span, i leaned down and dropped about 5% body fat, had a decent 6-pack going, and still added 25 lbs to my max bench. diet is the hardest part. even if you don't eat real healthy, get some extra protein in the diet and get going on the cardio. 30 minutes 3-4 times a week to start. try to get to 7-days a week and the fat will really start coming off. as long as you're eating enough protein (1g per lb of body weight at least), the fat will come off from the cardio and you'll still build muscle and get stronger. keep track of your calories. for you, i'd shoot for 2000 calories and 250g's of protein a day. if you can do that for 6 months and do cardio 4-5 times a week, you'll be extremely happy with the results.
