man, you've inspired me. i've been to the gym 3 times in the last 7 days. that's 3 times more than in the last 2 months!
good stuff meng - keep it up. im not trying to get huge steroidish looking, just going to get defintion and some arm size and stay lean. im 27 next month and im noticing my metabolizism is really slowing down.... damn getting older sucks.
**btw - my new favorite exercise is the deadlift - and I always thought it was pointless. try it for a few weeks...i just started with it.

Dude, I've really learned to love deadlifts. After my lower back started to get stronger and I wasn't hurting it anymore, deadlifts ROCK!! You feel it the next day from the middle of your back all the way up to your traps.
My lifting is limited by my grip though...damn weak grip!!
Exactly, after hurting the first couple of times, my back hurts so much less through my other exercises. I just use gloves for them, but some people were use straps. I need those things and a weight chain for weighted dips, but Dicks and Sports Authority dont have them - go figure.

so say i get my lower back built up, what's the biggest benefit i'll see from doing deadlifts?
on the grip, mine's weak too. almost 2 years ago when i was hitting the gym hard, i had worked for over 3 years building up to bigger weights. you'd think that your grip strength would improve along with everything else, but mine didn't. i eventually had to get lifting straps. especially for pull downs and dumbell rows. i was using 90-100 lb dumbells with straps, but without them, i could only hold around 75. my back and everything else though could lift the heavier weights. so i put off getting them as long as possible, but once my grip was holding me back and my body could physically do more, i broke down and started using them.
