Question about rye bread

I've been trying to eat healthier and exercise to get off my excess weight. My dad bought some turkey and provolone and hoagie rolls for lunch. Now I know the hoagie rolls are probably not that healthy because I need to stay away from white breads like them. I have rye bread in the house, but no wheat bread. Is rye bread a healthy temporary substitute for wheat bread so I can avoid the hoagie rolls? To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Rye bread is better than white. I tend not to eat a lot of bread to begin with. But anything brown is better than anything white. Eating white bread won't kill ya so feel free to eat it if that is all that is available. I worry that sometimes many people who want to be healthy place a lot of "shoulds" on what they "should" and "shouldn't" eat. It isn't about one meal, but overall content of your diet. You can have the ice cream sundae, just make sure the rest of your diet is cleaner.
