| I am one who DOES advocate use (not ABUSE) of anabolic steroids. Clips like this make it blatantly clear that use (not ABUSE) of AAS are not detremental to your health, period.
Correct me if I am wrong, but Real Sports also did a segment similar to this back in '03 with the guys from Testosterone (aka TMag aka T-Nation).
This does not mean that idiot 17 year olds should just hop on gear b/c they feel smaller/inadequate compared to their peers, nor does it mean that you should ABUSE them and be on 4g of test a week.
Anabolic use is a personal issue, those who are not mature enough to understand (and fully research what they are putting into their body) what they are doing should NOT be on them. Now that I'm older, I am sure that this whole game has gotten a lot worse than it was when I was in high school. I'm sure kids are shooting up now even more than when I was in school, and I'm also sure they have no idea wtf they are doing.
Hearing these Doctors talk shit about the dangers makes me laugh. Most Doctors, as smart as they are, do not know shit about steroids. Understand this: the job of a Dr is not to keep your longevity, the job of a Dr is to help you when you are ill.
Oh and for the record, regarding that piece: Lyle Alzado was gay. He had HIV. His death was a cause of that, not steroid ABUSE. Do you really think his family wanted the world to know that this NFL stud was really a pillow biter and died from that? Hell no, steroids were an easy culprit.
I have cycled a few times, as a healthy 21+ male. I got bloodwork done. I played it safe, and I will continue to play it safe whenever I decide I want to run another cycle. I never acheived any results like I have whilst on AAS and I never will, call it a crutch but honestly I don't really give a shit. Those 20-30lbs solidified themselves and created a frame that was just waiting in the wings to come out.
