Ok well some of y'all may remember me trying to lose weight. Well it all started March 1st or around there and my goal was under 200 lbs. before I went to spring break in South Padre, well I was 7 pounds heavier than I wanted to be. I started my venture at 230 lbs. From working out (all cardio) and eating more health, I have managed to lose 50 lbs. Bringing me down to 180 lbs., I want to maintain this weight, but I have been working with weights for the last 6 days and I have gained 4 pounds, I am guessing that is from the muscle. Can y'all give me some weight exercises to just basically get cut more than just bulking up and gaining muscle, or is that even possible without the bulk. I want to be more defined. Here are the before and after pictures from the weight loss.
Congrats on sticking with it and losing the weight.
Hate to burst your bubble, but you didn't gain 4lbs of muscle in 6 days. Could be just water weight.
Yeah I know I didn't gain 4 lbs. of muscle, I was just confused on what caused the sudden gain of weight, water weight makes sense. Thanks, it was hard though. My main diet consisted of cuting food portion considerably and also not eating fried foods, white bread, or drinking coke. I have drank water, orange juice, apple juice, and gatorade since March.
As for the exercises, if you do simple weight training and lower your bodyfat, that will get you the "cut" look you're going for. Being cut is simple the absence of fat and the presense of muscle. Keep your diet clean and eat often to eliminate the fat from your body and the muscle will start to show through.
Also, I don't know how you feel about your hair, but cutting your hair will make you appear slimmer. That's why a lot of bodybuilders shave (or at least buzz) their heads.
good shit dude, nice job on sticking with it. but yeah if you want to look cut, keep up with the cardio and eating right, if your weight training you may want to increase your protein intake, and do 4 sets of 10-12 reps so your still building muscle but wont "bulk up".
I have drank water, orange juice, apple juice, and gatorade since March.
The best thing you can drink is water. If you want to lose some more weight, try to stay away from the juices and gatorade. They contain calories and are loaded with sugar.
