Yet another hike from hell *pics*

I did the Grouse Grind with my g.f this weekend. Its a very well known hike up Grouse mountain that's definately not for those who aren't in shape.

The top is 1,100 meters up and the base starts at just under 300 meters so basically...

800 meters of straight climbing in only 2.9 km's (1.8 miles).

This first pic is from the top of Grouse...we were in the gondola waiting to go back down after having a few beers at one of the restaurants....

There's really no place to take them on the way up since there are NO flat/level areas to stop on. The whole hike is straight up and it's relentless. People are stopped all over the place trying to catch breath but Jenny and I didn't stop once...most of the hardcore hikers will time themselves on this thing...we did it in an hour and in 32 degree heat..lol.

If you look up Grouse Grind on google images you'll probably find a ton of pics.
