i have a physical test in about a month and 2 weeks. i need to run a mile and a half in 14.30 minutes, doesnt seem this will be a problem but i have to do 28push ups without resting and 35 full sit ups (not crunches) in less than a minute. right now if i struggle i can get about 15-17 push ups in one setting, and after about 12 sit ups i was gasping for air which surprised me cuz i can do crunches for days. so if i keep training, does it seem possible to reach my goals by the the time i need to? i was thinking i should change my workout routine for this next month and focus mainly on what i need to do to pass this test but would it be overloading the muscles? cuz i was gonna kick it up a notch and do sit ups and push ups every other day and my other muscle groups inbetween.

well maybe, the problem is if you do too much your body wont have time to recover. you gotta change it up, do the situps/pushups one day, then do something else for the next few days. but you're gonna need to be doing something every day.

PM me if you know companies that are hiring.
Are you doing some sort of physical police test? I did the something similar to what you have to do.
I ran a 1 1/2 mile in 10mins and I can do 50+ pushups and 50+ situps in a minutes time.
So yes it's possible... you just need to get yourself into good physical shape. In a month and a halfs time you could probably get close to what is required.... start working out now.

In six weeks, you should be able to reach your goals very easily.
its a requirement to pass to get into a police academy. passing the test for now is a yes/no question, yes cuz i need to pass it to advance in my testing process and no cuz i'll need to do that many (and many more) once i'm actually in the academy anyways.
i have been working out for about a 2 months already but i wasnt pushing myself as hard as i could have and my diet was something not to be desired. i've been strict about my workouts and diets for about the past 2 weeks. its usually
legs/abs - running
arms/forearms/back
chest/shoulders/abs - running

but i'm thinking of changing it up to help me with the exercises to pass my physical test.
^^ that is good. As you feel more comfortable running 3 miles... increase the distance. that way the 1 1/2 mile run will seem like a walk in the park when you actually do it.
Lift weights. If you know anybody who works out at the gym... go with them, they can help you. If you don't have access to a gym... start doing pushups and situps everyday.
heres a little update...
since the 2 weeks since i posted this i went from "struggling to do 15-17 pushups" to easily doing 4 sets of 20. and as for "gasping for air after 12 situps" i'm now gasping for after 20, lol. i think at this rate i will be able to do the push ups but i think i need to really train harder to reach my goal of 35 situps in a minute.
