Ya'll know I have been studying and shit...****ing cortisol and not working out ate all my muscles!! I lost like 7 lbs and am down to under 155lbs!! ****! My tris are half the size they were...dammit...
I hate when I get busy and can't workout... makes me feel like a slob.
You just have to get back into it... I bet you could put your 7lbs back on in a week or two especially since you just lost it.
they havent dissapeared, just un-toned. its fairly easy to get back to where you were before. Do high rep, low to moderate weight. You'll see a difference in 2 weeks of consistent training.

wow....yea, you are! Apparently you guys have never been serious about working out. Me on the other hand, I lost 175 pounds and gained about 15 lbs of muscle after my peak of weight loss. went from benching the bar to doing 255 3 sets of 6 WITHOUT "looking" big at all.
that looks like results to me, so yes, you are ignorant much.
no, but I am a personal trainer...... i just dont train meatheads that want bulky muscles that dont even have strength in relation to their size.....

Most trainers rip off older women and fat men telling them bullshit that isn't backed up by any science for $50 or more an hour. They spit out nonsense words like "toned" and preach the gospel of high reps and low weight because that low rep heavyweight stuff is for neanderthals That's great that you're trying to give advice that makes it easy on the listener and tries to take all the science out of it, but Robb is a smart guy and can understand things in terms of muscle and bodyfat. Don't insult him with that "un-toned" crap.
And you're right. I'm definitely not serious about working out. Nevermind a 45" chest, 29" waist, 16.5" arms, and 25" quads at 5'9 or 5'10. Boy, you'd think I'd never been in a gym.
Hmm...
365 squat (ass-to-grass)
295 bench (index fingers on rings)
385 dead
NoiSe over there, he's definitely not serious, either. Then again, if you find any recent picture of him on this site, it's most likely of him getting ready for or on his way to (I believe) Muay Thai training.
So that makes me a meathead? I go to one of the top 100 universities in the nation, I own my own business, I have a 3.3GPA, I'm working two jobs right now while taking 6 hours of summer school, AND my big three lifts are over 1000lbs.
But you're right. I'm a meathead... or I've never been serious about working out... one of the two.
Hey, I found a pic of me. Is this enough to prove I'm serious about working out and might have a clue wtf I'm talking about?

thats all well and good, but you should not discount something that works so quickly. Untoned muscle turns into loose "flab" that simply needs a good endurance training regiment to get it back to where it was. Lifting big amounts of weight CAN work, but it won't for most people that want to be simply in shape but not all huge.
Anyways, results are different for everybody anyways, so whats the point in arguing. All I know is I have helped transform people from overweight to fit and "toned" (yea, your favorite word!) and they are happy for it.
To back up why toning is more important then bulk, how is it that I can have rather "normal" looking legs and leg press 1000 pounds, yet some guy with legs so thick that his quads are always pressing up against each other can max out at the same weight. Its a difference between strength and mass.... BASIC muscle knowledge.
