I got a question, I am normally in the same boat about gaining weight. Here is my meals for today, tell me if its sufficient. Breakfast i had a bowl of cereal and a protein shake (two scoops) with 2% milk. Lunch i had an apple due to time constraint then came home after class at 2 and had two sandwhiches and a protein shake (1 scoop) for dinner im going to have 2 pork chops and white rice and then later finish it off with another sandwhich. How does that sound?

def. not enough.. you wanna try and get at least 5-6 solid meals evenly spaced out during the day. See this thread for an example.. it's just a guideline, adjust it according to your schedule etc.

its hard to eat all of this http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=246069 when you are working but it can be done on your days off. I am also going to get a isopure mass weight gainer I can easily drink that with whole milk like 3 or 4 times a day it has 69grams of protein and 910 calories per serving.

You gotta slowly build up to it.

The problem is that, once your body gets used to it, it begins to EXPECT that food, and gets very pissed (very hungry) if you miss a "feeding."

Indeed. If I go longer than 3 hours without eating, I seriously get homicidal.

It's like getting a flywheel turning. Slow and difficult, at first. But once it's spinning round, you only need to give it regular pushes to keep it going.

You have to build up to eating lotsa meals, and well prepared meals that will make you grow. Most junk food is fattening calories, and won't make anything grow but bodyfat and coronary artery disease. Clean carbs, lean meats, and healthy fats, all in the right proportions, are the ingredients for muscle growth.

Not only do you need to take some time to build up your system to handle it all, but you also have to figure out how to integrate all the time it takes to cook and eat the food into your life. It really can be done. You only have to take the time to do some planning.

But better to not eat, than to simply cram down a bunch of bad nutrition. I am particularly against those prepackaged bulking shakes, which contain maltodextrin and other crap carbs.
