To defrost the passenger side windows since Asian people's arms are too short. Duh! LOL!

thats strange, usually both sides have that. its either a tweeter or heater vent.

The drivers side defogger is integrated into the duct, the sedans have them near the triangle glasses also.

I've seen those vents before on other cars but they're usually closed. Meaning, it's got the grill look and all but it's a non-functioning vent.

Does that make sense?

Like that fake intake slots on Mustangs even though it's not a mid-engine car.

I think it's defrost 'coz air came out when I hit the defrost button. Now that I have look at it closely, the driver and passenger console vents are of different shape. Dunno why they couldn't make the passenger's console vent bigger and am guessing that extra slot is put in there so the driver can see through the right side mirror during frosting conditions. I thought this was some kind of cabin temp sensing unit or something.

That is the in cabin airfilter vent, filters all the dust and pollen out of the inside of your car, there should be one on each side

That makes sense. Then again so does the side window defrosters.
