Angry If its not one thing its another....

Went driving today everything felt fine until I went to park, Pulled up into a parking space and put it in park and my gear shifter started making a clicking noise so i put my hand on it and it felt like a tapping vibration. Its an automatic with almost 145k on the tranny.....is it dying?

Re: If its not one thing its another....

can you describe how loud the ticking is?
is the sound come from the transmission itself of from the gear shifter area?
i wouldnt say a ticking gear shifter = dying car. it doesnt sound like a serious problem.

does anyone else ever get that with their automatics?

its pretty loud i mean i can hear it standing outside of the door if that gives you an idea, I dont know for sure if its coming from the tranny itself or not yet but i know its definately around the gear shifter area

Boy do I feel like a dumb ***, I changed out my Big 3 with electric130's kit and didnt tighten the ground wire on the tranny good enough so it came loose enough to not give a good ground. I tightened it up to where it wont come lose and now the clicking noise is gone!
