I have AIG insurance and filed a claim several months ago. My Civic has aftermarket wheels, AEM short intake, MagnaFlow catback, and an aftermarket stereo system. The adjustor did take pictures of my car and mentioned that I had replaced the stereo, wheels, ect and asked if I raced... my response was that I'm too old to race and my car is much too slow. Their rates are pretty reasonable and thus far I have not had to insure it as an exotic.

I have Nationwide Insurance. I chose them because that is who my parents have and they have treated us pretty good. I am paying $150/month for 3 vehichles with a $250 deductible.

"All state" and "other" have been added to the poll.
Im state farm. Parents have it, and they are good people. I delt with progressive before and was impressed with their service.

I have a question for the people with Geico Insurance. If you have had a claim of any kind, how difficult / easy was it to deal with them and get a settlement check? I have State Farm now, they are great to deal with, never a problem with claims. But, I could save $350.00 / Year with Geico (State Farm is one of the pricer companies). Thanks for the response.

I have geico, and they haven't given me any problems yet. I pay $60/month for full coverage on my 04 civic coupe. I have never had to make a claim with geico, tho. Insurance through geico is honestly costing me about $900/year less than state farm was going to charge me, and i was with them for 7 years. Someone with state farm insurance hit my car last year, and took off the drivers side mirror, so i had to deal with them at that point. State farm, in this case, was terrible to deal with. They ****ed up just about everything, including sending me a check initially, for only half what I actually paid for the repair, and it took me another month or more to get the other $100 from them.

I've had Wawanesa for many years. Had to switch to USAA when I married my wife (She had a accident on her record), but when that accident came off, back to Wawanesa. They only insure in California, I believe, and you need a good record. Policy price hasn't changed in over 10 years, and that is with adding 2 new cars and removing older cars. I've dealt with their claims department (at fault and the other guy's fault) and never saw an increase.

Mercury
A dude with a couch in the backend of his pickup didn't want the couch anymore and decided to drop it on me at about 70 MPH. Mercury tried to charge me at-fault. Wrote strongly worded 4 page letter which cleared it up a bit.
Mercury did pay for OEM parts without a hassle at all.
Decent rates. AAA is slightly more expensive, but I've heard it is the best.

Well.... Yesterday, I changed my insurance. My dad told me that AAA offers insurance and you get a discount based on how long you have been a member. So my dad has been a member since well.... the stone age so basically I'm getting the same coverage through them for 1/4 the price. Not too bad a deal if you ask me.

State Farm was able to insure my new motorcycle over $1,500 a year cheaper than anyone else (geiko, allstate and progressive) so I am with them now.
