The "IF YOU DON"T LIKE IT, GET OUT" argument is played out. We are allowed to disagree with our own country's policies, this whole country was founded because of a disagreement with Britain's policies so why can't we disagree with our government now.
Erm... the original settlers came from Europe because they disagreed with the religous policies. So they didn't like it and they left.
But I digress. Stating that our own country men and women are terrorists is a bit more than a disagreement. In the 50's that kind of talk would have your brought up before Mr. McCarthy. There is an extreme difference in disagreeing with a policy and having a hatred of the country because of said policies. My sister hates this country and what it has become because of the war. I mean she hates it so much that she has been arrested for violent protests. She was at a 'peaceful' protest and she started hurling rocks at the local police. Push came to shove and she got pepper sprayed for striking an officer. It wasn't even a police officer in riot gear. It was just a uniformed cop trying to keep order.
When the whole "Deal with it or Get out" scenerio is brought up she always claims that she is planning on moving to Canada or some place in Eastern Europe but she never follows through with her ideas. I've been around the world(22 different countries on 3 continents) and I've seen some of the best(England and Ireland and Canada) and some of the worst(Roatan Honduras, Belize) and no place is like the US.
To all the people claiming that the US are a terrorist group... Our citizens don't get taught from birth that people that don't follow our religion(and for that matter we don't have an Official State Religion. We are free to chose our own) should be taken to the sword.
Yeah we have warmongering tendencies, but that's human nature. People have been at war with other people since time was time. Since before the Titans crawled this little dirtball. One of the major problems is that we all think everyone else is wrong and we are right. That goes for BOTH sides. Either Liberal or Conservative. Jew or Arab. Christian or Muslim.
No one side is anymore right than the other.
Oh, I forgot to add... And it was the entire reason of my post. If you don't like this country and it's policies, GET OUT. You have the freedom to leave this country and try to gain citizenship in almost any other country you want. But good luck finding a place that has the same freedoms as the US. Good luck finding a place with a decent infrastructure like the US.
We have a responsibility to ensure that our government is representing the will of the people. Therefore, I have a duty to my country to protest when I'm not in agreement with something. If I get overruled by the majority, then so be it, but I'm still entitled and obligated to let my voice be heard. I don't want to leave; I want to bring this country back to a place where we can all be happy.
And, no, we don't hate people because of their religious beliefs but we do when it comes to their form of government or their economic policies. God help you if you were a Communist in the 50's and 60's (maybe even now). We got taught from birth that Russia was bad and Communism was a one-way ticket to Hell.
Yeah, during the Red Scare we were taught that Communism was evil, but we were never taught to take their necks to the blade. We were never taught to sacrafice our selves to eliminate the commies.
I think one of the problems with protesters today is they are dupes. Then again, protestors back in the 60s and 70s were dupes also. Scammed from birth some might say.

Also death certificates proved that most of the dead were killed in execution-style with point-blank shots to the back of the head.
In one scene, a child called Safa Younis appeared describing how she survived the massacre by hiding between the dead bodies of her mother and siblings; pretending to be dead.
"The Americans knocked at the door. My father went to open it. They shot him dead from behind the door, and then they shot him again after they opened the door," the girl said.
The army ordered criminal investigation into the incident, a year after the release of the Times Magazine report.
According to details uncovered by The New York Times in its latest report, 10 women and children were among the dead, as well as an old man in a wheelchair.
The Times story is attributed to two Defense Department officials.
The report quoted the officials as saying an investigative report faults Marine officers for not investigating the killings, concluding that the commanders created a climate that minimized the importance of Iraqi lives.
November 19 massacre by the U.S. Marines was one of several that emerged recently in which U.S. occupation soldiers reportedly killed Iraqi civilians in cold-blooded attacks.

You tell us to read something "independent" yet you quote the New York Times. One of the problems we have in this country is with the media. On both sides. On the left you have CNN and the NY Times doing everything in their power to bash President Bush, and on the right you have Fox News and various mouthpieces(Hannity, Limbaugh et al.) doing everything in their power to support the president no matter what happens. There are no "independent" news sources anymore.
Does the New York Times make a big stink when Islamo-Facists cut people's heads off? Of course not. Nor do they even bat an eye when we find out that children in Saudi Arabia, our great ally in the 'War On Terra!' are being taught from birth that only Muslims and followers of Islam are to be spared.
Between outright "aid", military assistance, and loan guarantees, we American taxpayers give Israel between $3 and $6 Billion every year. They use our "aid" to wage this warfare on Arabs.
Is there any wonder why the Arabs fight back? Is there any wonder why Arabs have begun attacking the US itself?

Yes, the US gives Israel billions of dollars every year. Good thing, too. If you consider the ARABS being "brutalized" by Israelis... wow, you need to open your eyes and see how the Arabs brutalize the Jews.

Israel doesn't attack civilians on purpose. Hezbollah puts it's military targets in and around civilian areas so that it might exploit stupid people like "MrXclusive" into thinking that Israel is the evil monster....
However Israel is not intentionally aiming at civilians, UNLIKE HEZBOLLAH, which fires it's rockets "XCLUSIVELY" at civilian targets with NO MILITARY VALUE.

You truly are deluded when you think that the terrorists don't place their rockets next to civilian "high press" targets, for the purpose of winning the political war.
They aren't stupid, they learned from Gen. Giap in Vietnam. If you win the political war, you will win the military war. He threw 100,000 troops away in suicide missions during the tet offensive in order to do so. Same thing happened in Afghanistan with the Russians. Pressure at home to "bring the troops home" in the face of determined insurgents will win the political war.
In the Arabs viewpoint, those civilians that they purposefully kill and blame it on Israelis... they are casualties of war, even if they were sentanced to die by their own people. Suicide bombers are casualties of war, too. They are trying to win the political war. And the arabs use stupid people that follow the left-leaning media to win the political war.
