officials get elected based on image rather than merit or accomplishments; theres an awful lot of talk and no action, and the talk is about really irrelevant and insignificant "issues" as far as the big picture of the nation is concerned. its ridiculous. |
You couldn't be more right.
Why do you think that communist Hillary Clinton, of all people, wrote and sponsored an amendment against flag burning? It's to try to get people on her side. Because it's a logical move, most of america is in favor of it.... and it means absolutely nothing. In these times of absolute corruption and philandering politicians, government overspending, abuses of power, war, tension, terrorism, hostilities.... the last thing we need to worry about is a stupid flag burning amendment. Yet she wrote it up, knowing it was going to fail, simply because she is preparing to launch off into a presidential race, and she knows that she has left wing america locked up, she wants to make right wing america think that she is moderate or maybe even patriotic.
Or the whole gay marriage thing, it was so that congressmen could make their constituents think that they are actually conservative, not the liberals they actually are. Abortion was an issue that was used in the past. It's throwing a bone to the people that elected them so that they get reelected, while they vote against every other issue that their voters want.
Reform, for instance.
Everyone TALKS about reform, how we need to reform congress and government. When it comes down to it, no one wants to start with themselves.
Politicians are a dirty, filthy, lying lot.
