^Maybe because Israel is a nuclear power, and isn't about to let anyone push them around...?

I'm sure you'd love to see a nuclear war in the middle east...

Of course I wouldn't! What's wrong with you? Why do you think I would like to see a nuclear war anywhere?

I'm against wars unless you are attacked first. If nobody attacks first then there are no wars to fight. I think all problems can be solved by diplomacy. And, we also have to respect the rights of other people and other countries to do as they please internally.

People in this country have to learn that we cannot just go around controlling what other sovereign countries do and don't do. They have just as much right to do as they please as we do so long as it's internal to their country. This means their domestic policies are their own business, not ours.

Zap do you know we have been the most evil nation since 2003. Iran has nothing on us. Since when did Iran inflate charges against Peru? then fly over there and bring the country to its knees? Then did they hire mercenaries that have no rules because they sent 1/5 the troops they sent the 1st time they fought Peru? Then while their troops are building relationships with the locals are Iranian merc's driving around shooting at people for doing a cali roll through a stop sign? Iran is its own country. I am not an American hater. But I can open my eyes and realize how we look to the world right now. We are the guy that got too drunk at the party and now thinks everyone wants what is in his pants and ends up making everyone uncomfortable. Diplomacy does not work like this "hey do this or we will bomb you" You normally dont talk like that until you are at war. If I had a 10' tall 800lbs. pound guy that raped 2 of my neighbors telling me to drop my gun I doubt I would drop it. WATCH THIS VIDEO ON MERCENARIES

This is what I refered to earlier: http://today.reuters.com/news/articl...Q-USA-LABS.xml

Also, the U.S. has a history of interference. What about the coup d'etat that we sponsored to overthrow the Venezuelan president (elected by his people, I might add), Hugo Chavez? What about the killing of General Torrijos in Panama in 1981 because he refused to back down from the treaty he signed with President Carter which put the Panama Canal back in Panamanian hands and was all but set to sign a deal with Japan to build a new canal which wouldn't have locks and would allow more traffic. But, since Bachtel wasn't going to build it and all those billions of dollars would go to Japan, Reagan decided to have him killed. His private plane was bombed and enough evidence was presented to prove that the CIA did it.

Also, look no further than Ecuador. Their Amazon region is oil rich and we've been "pressuring" their government to allow U.S. companies to exploit it since the mid-70's. We even killed their democratically-elected president, Jaime Roldos, in 1981 (shortly before Torrijos) in the same manner.

The U.S. has interfered in too many countries and it's been a Republican President each time (Reagan, Daddy Bush, and Baby Bush). Why, you might ask? Because they are the ones with the oil interests. They are tied to the oil industry and will do antything to make sure we control the countries that have it, even if it costs us American lives.

We forged a deal with the House of Saud back in the early 1970s to ensure that the dollar was the only currency used to sell oil by OPEC and thus creating the oil standard since our gold standard for currency had been challenged. Iran is not attempting to screw with our global-reaching financial empire and Bush and the other corporations don't like it.
saddam said the same thing back before the Iraq war..... one of the reasons we went into Iraq already.

I bet that 400 million retirement package for the CEO of exxon and RECORD PROFITS for oil companies would look GREAT in light of this crap....... I also bet the freakin oil companies that bought up and shelved TONS of patents for alternative energy transportation may feel a little like the "small guy" after the economy supposedly collapses after the euro oil thing.
