Dear Mr.. President,
For the past 4 years and 6 months you have been informing us why every Arab is evil. You have lowered our standards for the life of Arabs. You have justified bombing whole families to kill 1 or 2 mid-level "terrorists." You have destroyed a whole country for no good reason and defend it by saying our way of life is so much better than theirs that killing 30,000 people justifies it. You have bent our constitution in to a distorted document that is now dated 9/11/01. You have held American an citizen in Cuba for years on end with out ever bringing the man up on charges. You can justify this because its post September 11th and he is brown. If I actually did what he planned to do(bomb apartments) I would be charged with arson because I am white. We have all accepted that we watch Arabs out of the corner of our eyes. You have us in the palm of your hand.
Yet now you want us to accept a country with Arab in its name to take over our ports. I remember you once said if you are not with us you are against us. In the 9/11 commissions report we can find that when the CIA knew where Osama was they couldn't bomb the village because a few princes from the U.A.E. were there. I remember after 9/11 one of our biggest concerns were our ports. So why would you hand our ports over to countries with direct ties to Osama. The only reason I can think of is that we truly have nothing to fear. 9/11 was like a 5 year old punching Mike Tyson in his nuts. Yeah it brought him to his knees but its not going to happen every day and there's really nothing you can do to prevent it. I mean on December 8th 1941 FDR said "We have nothing to fear but fear itself". That was the day after a great nation that had already conquered a solid chunk of Asia destroyed just about all of our Pacific fleet. From 9/11/01 up until last week you have been saying we have everything to fear including the mail.
look man. we are talkin more than racism ok? you think these conservative, and yes Islamic people are in fact VERY conservative. i speak from personal experience. anyway, these conservative, people will be ok with all the crap they see here in america? yea, no. won't happen. it will be a culture shock at the least. and if you really want to get serious, any terrorist group can get a clean guy in the company to work his way into the ports. i mean the plane hijacking was shitloads harder than what im talkin about.
First of all, the people who work there under the current British company will be the same ones working there under the UAE company. Nobody that works the docks is going anywhere. Please read up on the subject. All these people are going to do is perform managerial tasks. They won't be in charge of security and they won't be importing Arabs to work on the docks.
We need to look at the bigger picture why this sale is going forward. We all know the next war will be with Iran over oil. I believe March 26, 2006 is the day Iran will introduce the Iranian Oil Burse, thus trading oil with Euros rather than US dollars. This will be a big hit the US economy and this is why the US wants to go to war with Iran - to stop it!
Knowing this new information, there is no surprise why this sale is going though. Revenue from controlling ports is very big. Hmmm, lets think about this. We'll sell some ports to the UAE, let them collect majority revenue, and they'll let us use their land for bases to attack Iran. Not a bad plan...W is kinda smart in this regard.
why must there be a war in Iran. We have just painted a clear picture on how occupation can not work in modern times. Communication between insurgent groups is too easy. So you suggest going to war and spending a couple of trillion dollars. That way we could save about .50 cents a barrel. Or we could just do what we have always done. Pay for oil in a legal way rather than make the whole world paranoid that if they do anything to their benefit America will invade. Hmmm who attacks nations when they screw with the price of oil? Saddam! We are not Saddam.
The last Fox news poll said only 9% of Americans think America should use war as a tool to prevent Iran from getting nukes or once they have nukes.

CALM DOWN. This country donated $100 million of the $180 million for the Katrina hurricane relief foundation. If we wouldn't have gave them the rights to buy this port, it would have been a slap in the face to them, which then the price of oil would have skyrocketed and cost us more than we pay now because they would have cut off all ties with us. They currently control most of the oil. They have every right to buy a port. I mean if we denied them a port, then we would have had to deny Britain a port too. Hell we would have to take back all the ports sold to companies other than ones from the US. I don't truely see your problem with the transaction.

Yeah but Dubai's government had nothing to do with 9/11. Do you think everyone in the Middle East is a terrorist? That is basically what I am interpreting (sp?) from what you are saying. I see no reason to hate on the Dubai.
