The American Bar Association says Bush's warrantless wire tapping is unconstitutional

Oh I forgot about those poor terrorists in prison in Gitmo. Freshly laundered towels, prayer times, heating and AC, good kosher food....
They never had it so good. They should be thrown in a REAL jail with 5x5x5 cells, a bucket, no Korans and no light.
But we're the overly humane and politically correct country that can only actually punish people off the record, and even that comes out thanks to moronic soldiers with digicams....
BTW Nick, if you think for a moment that either Iraq or Afghanistan were "peaceful" countries before they were invaded by the US, then you are high or nuts....
By the way Zap if you think raping dogs is ok you are iether high or nuts!
I never said any of those places were pleasant. I am making the point that we have a legal system that works in this nation. As long as everyone follows the rules. When you hold people for ever they start to confess to things just to get their prison term started. To say they never had it so good is a stretch. I am the happiest when I am with my family. Not when I am at work in an air conditioned room eating at a pot luck. How would you like it if Turkey shipped you to Madagascar and heald you in a 5 star hotel for 4 years and counting. Now your baby is growing up without you ever being there. That would not be a great existance. I am not against executing them I am not against holding them forever in jail. I am against fv(king it up so bad at step one that we can never get to step 2 out of fear that we will be caught being the wrong ones.
I just think it's funny that you quote me in you sig as if that quote is wrong in the least. China invaded and seeks to invade peaceful nations. The US never did. China murdered millions of people. The US is actually saving thousands of lives by going into Iraq, although you would never admit that.
And if you think that those terrorists have the same desires in live, goals, or whatever... as we do, then you have gone through "Its a Small World" too many times in Disneyland. Sure it would be nice if the world were like that, but it's a major assumption that they want to make the world a better place, make better lives for their children and so on. It's a nice little dream. But it has no basis in reality. But hey, what am I talking for anyways, you won't listen. You'd rather think that Al Queda would gladly leave the US alone if we stayed out of the middle east....
Then when you catch the guy you cant bring him to trial. Why do you think no one wants to have trials for obvious terrorists at gitmo? All you can do is hold him forever in a jail which is illegal then beg him to move to an Arab nation and never come back.
The reason why ppl aren't tried is because the government doesn't want to reveal the evidence they have on them because, in so doing, they put the source at risk. If they risk the source, or if anyone finds out how they got that info, the gig is up and we won't get any more info/intel from that source.
I can understand that; what I can't understand is why have the great legal system we have and then break it just to allow ourselves to collect more info. Our Constitution gives us the right to have a fair and speedy trial. Four years is not speedy. That's more than enough time to get your sources out of harms way and develop new ones.

Re: your first paragraph, I guess you are not counting us invading/killing Indian tribes (they were considered nations). We killed millions of them. Oh, but they don't count, eh?
What about North Korea and Vietnam? They never did a thing to us yet we went over there and stuck our noses in other people's business.
Those people in Gitmo are being mistreated. Read the U.N. report that was released today. You can't claim we're at war and then not apply the Geneva Convention rules. We are bound to that document as we are bound to the Constitution. When Congress ratified the Geneva Convention they incorporated it into the Constitution and becomes part of the Supreme law of the land. It's Constitutional Law 101.
We never invaded North Korea or Vietnam. We were defending South Korea and South Vietnam, just as when we liberated Kuwait. If you include South Korea as "US military aggression" then hey, you could include our role in WW2 as us being aggressors as well.
And with the indian nations, you could consider Mexico also to be a victim of the US Military, however I'm talking about recent history, at least in the last 100 years. Mexico had California to Texas taken from them, forever. Pity. Wasn't much of a loss considering there was not much in the way of mexican populations outside of Santa Fe and San Francisco. I'd gladly give them back San Fran nowdays....
ive been saying this all along. someone needs to let me pass the bar so i can go sue the fvck out of bush for being an idiot. hell, i would charge him for treason, for the fact that he knew it was unconstitutional and unamerican

i can't believe you said that. be smarter than that. im not even going to try to explain it to you, cause you already know what im thinking. i hope you don't really believe that.

^I can also agree with "Zapthycat"... This weekend videotape information is going to be released on what Saddam knew and his involvement prior and leading up to 9/11. It is important now for the US to finish the job in Iraq.

Thanks.
You figure that by invading 2 different nations in only 10 years of his reign, and mass murdering thousands upon thousands upon thousands of others and dumping them into mass graves....
And then you figure upon 2k American soldiers being killed, then what, around 30k civilians, Iraqi army, Iraqi insurgents and foriegn insurgents... wasn't that the rough estimate?
You do the math. Don't be a dolt. Lives have been saved, and what is the price of freedom to the millions of Iraqi men and women that now enjoy it?
That's beyond math. Just takes a little bit of thinking...
