Coretta Scott King's funeral

The first time I heard Bush was going to be there all I could think was why would he go there? Then I thought well ok yeah he needs to earn the browny points. When I was watching the video of what happened I couldnt stop laughing. Do you think it was wrong that politics were brought up at a political leaders funeral. Or do you think its great that what pu$$y democrats should have been saying in D.C. was finally thrown in his face? To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

As far as the funeral was concerned, I thought it was sort of stupid that 15k people would attend her funeral, after all, she did jack crap after her husband was murdered. HE was a great civil rights leader. She wasn't, she was his wife. She helped get him a holiday, that's cool. But she got WAY more press than Rosie Parks got, and Rosie Parks did WAY more than she did.

Regardless, it's horrible that anyone has to bring politics into that sort of arena. It's a freaking funeral.

I did think that some of the comments were funny though... especially Jimmy Carter's comments. I think he's officially senile now, lol. His comments about how all the victims of Katrina were black was the most notable. It's funny when idiots like him make a comment in spite of all the facts and figures that have come out.

But what can ya say.

I didn't think it was the time and place for those comments. And Jimmy Carter needs to keep his mouth shut and go away for a while too. This is the same man who believes the US should still fund the Palestinians now, even under Hamas.

Cheap pot shots at the Pres..... They should be ashamed of themselves for "trying" to make political points during a time of morning.. like the Wellstone funeral......

Nice. We should just fund Bin Laden. What a nutjob.

Coretta King was a very political person all her life and was very passionate about it. I would not mind people talking about something that I was very passionate about all my life at my funeral. Read up on Coretta King's life after MLK was killed before making un-informed comments....... she was very heavily involved in politics until the day she died. At a pro-athlet's funeral for example talking about politics would be inappropriate but at a person who was very involved in politics all her life tlaking about it is not very inappropriate (IMO of course).
