As far as the funeral was concerned, I thought it was sort of stupid that 15k people would attend her funeral, after all, she did jack crap after her husband was murdered. HE was a great civil rights leader. She wasn't, she was his wife. She helped get him a holiday, that's cool. But she got WAY more press than Rosie Parks got, and Rosie Parks did WAY more than she did.
Regardless, it's horrible that anyone has to bring politics into that sort of arena. It's a freaking funeral.
I did think that some of the comments were funny though... especially Jimmy Carter's comments. I think he's officially senile now, lol. His comments about how all the victims of Katrina were black was the most notable. It's funny when idiots like him make a comment in spite of all the facts and figures that have come out.
But what can ya say.
