1st off I mean absolutly no offense to anyone who is serving, or who has served, in the US military. I have alot of respect for you guys, so DO NOT come here saying I am disrespecting you. This has nothing to do with you personally, but everything to do with the counrty as a whole.
Ok thats out of the way.
In another thread it has come up that many people agree with me on alot of points of how stupid America is getting. We have cruddy politicians, a terrible president, an economy that keeps getting worse, tons of jobs moving out of the country, and an endless supply of illegal immigrants who instead of getting kicked out get treated pretty well.
I am just sick of the American people who are lazy, gluttonous, and generally stupid. I cannot respect people who do not work hard. I am not saying janitors are stpud. No, most of them work very hard and have happy lives. But the 40 year old stuck at McDonalds who thought they were too cool for school; thats getting sickening.
So I want to move out. Soon. As soon as I finish college (leaving now would be stupid for me). But I do plan on leaving. Europe probably.
What do all of you think?

I am not an idiot. I am not ignorant. I am just kinda disappointed in where america is going as a country. I am frustrated that the country that so many people died for is now shifting away from the great place it once was. Ever since 9/11, and a little before, this country has been going down the tubes and fast.
Well personally I would still rather live here than anywhere else. Sure we have our share of problems, but theres a reason that millions of people still want to come here. I know many people who have immigrated from Europe, India, Iraq, Australia, North Korea, etc. and they all stayed because they love the liberties and freedoms we have and take for granted. To most of the world the "American Dream" lives on every day of their lives. There are some places in Europe that wouldnt be bad to live, but I wouldnt volunteer. If politics and lazy people bother you, and they bother me too, you will have a hard time finding a place that doesnt have the same problem on a different scale. Good luck, hope all goes well for you.

lol thanks. I know its not perfect anywhere. but the sudden wave of political correctness, terrorism "threat" (meaning BS hype), and the recent realization that most politicians are morons (exactly like the mayor or New Orleans) just really have put me off.
Its basically the same at any other place in the world.
2 things about what you said:
1. By moving out you are in a way running from the problems instead of trying to do something about them. You wouldn't be any better than the companies who don't want to deal with us overpaid slackers and out source.
2. Finland is a really nice place. Andorra is where I'd retire to.

they hooked me up fat with free $$$, great food, Morgan Freeman, Star Wars, Mc Donalds 39c burgers (back in the day), and "criminals induldging in the understanding of man."

1.How am I running from the problem? Wouldn't I just be bettering myself? The path to self actualization and running from a problem are 2 different things.
Lol and I am with the companies. I wouldnt want any lazy people working for huge amounts of money when they do nothing. I would be more the businessman type and get out as soon as the unions started crying to me about how their ridiculous demands have to be met.
2.I am hoping to live at one time in Italy. I am going to work on learning italian if i have time during the summer. Good luck getting to Finland, too!
Stay and make a difference. Become the truthful politician. The fact is that many jobs are coming back to the US from overseas. A lot of companies are realizing that consumers dont like it so they are actually losing more money by having it overseas, so that will greatly change in the next 10 years. As much as i hate political correctness, I would rather have that than no organization at all. People have become overly sensative and its negatively impacting everyone. Someday someone important will get up and tell us to all get over ourselves. When you see that happen, you will see a big change in public attitude and America as a whole. But either way, theres a reason we are the only true "super-power" left. Apparently what we have going seems to be working. USA!!!

I know what you talking about man, everything is so manipulated, only the ones with power control every single aspect of life. people are moving into a robot-like life style. Sleep, eat, work and repeat the cycle. They dont care for anyone only themselves and dont have a mature mentality, saying that this youth is lost. We are getting deep down into something pretty bad, all is consumerism and what can I have better than that sucker, etc. I hate this war like you cant imagine, its plain dumb, PR is one of the top in the list of dead soldiers, and Bush is eating, living and sleeping like a king. The sad thing is that people that are ignorants are in favor of this criminal attitudes. Its a sad story and we are not doing anything to save the little good that we have. We are destroying the essence of life. all is material and that is making me sick. Some may think we are stupid when we say this things but the consequences are being seen, this world is getting hotter and hotter, there are vasts amounts of deforestation, murders and corruption going up, HUNGER still laughing at our faces, AIDS taking the lifes of millions...We have to stop being like everyone else and be a little more eye- opened and see what is happening around us. I could be writing till tomorrow but I feel like you man, its stressing and we feel like we cannot do anything but every sand of good that we apport its something...
All I have to say about the war is that I would much rather fight it over there now than wait for them to come to us. Ive lost a few friends in Iraq and it hurts, but they did not die in vein, they died believeing they were doing what was right for the world and our country. With the exceptions of insurgents in Iraq, most of the citizens love Americans and all the soldiers over there. A friend of mine in the Army always says how nice the people are and welcoming to all the soldiers. They offer water, food, gold, shelter, clothing and so on in an effort to repay the soldiers for the freedoms they have been given. I admit, it doesnt look good now, but keep in mind how much is what the media tells you and in 15-20 years it will be a much better place for everyone. That could explain the amazing turn-out for the recent elections. That is all.

Everone wants a slice of the pie and damn it I'm going to get a big piece of it before I decide to leave the US.
I really wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the world though.
I like the melting pot that is America.
No other place is quite like it.
I'd rather base myself in the US and have vacation homes in other countries.

-George Dub is not all bad, he does have some good qualities (compared to other politicians)
-politicians are cruddy, politics is crime, so they are ALL crooks in some way, the ones that are not do not have any power
-our economy has declined, but it is still very very strong, when a democrat gets back in office a couple times we will be fine
-Tons of jobs moving out of country, happens all the time around the world it is called economics, nothing can be accomplished by moving out of the country, you can lose your job overseas, it happens
-Endless supply of hard working honorable workers, they are backbones in the restaurant and labor business, if people want to come into this country and work hard, I say let them
-You do not like lazy people
The entire world is pretty sick, humans are disgusting. Look at our past, it is hard to respect anybody based on what our kind has done. But there is a flip side look at all of the wonderful things humans have achieved.
You think if you go to another country there will not be sick people?

"When I see an American flag I think,All those wonderful heroic people died to create and protect this country, and now all we can do is destroy it. It's a shame."
That is why I think you are running from your problems and it sounds like you believe that if you go overseas than you will not have to deal with your problem with sick people.
Those pics are funny.

this man always speaks the truth. glad you stopped in. I finally found a thread to contain my complaints. Don't worry, though. This isnt running my life. I just get reminded every time someone replies to the Dubai thread lol.

oh ok. I am very glad you gave reason for that. I am certainly not one to run from my problems. I see exactly why you feel that way about me, though. Right now I feel that if I can change my surrounds to better fit me, then I can be a better human being; happier, nicer, have a great family of my own, respectable job, etc. I don't want to change who I am to better fit my surroundings. I like who I am. I am a faithful boyfriend, a dedicated student, and an honest person (minus the ebay thing). It's just one of those things you know is right in your heart. I am giving valid reasons here, but none of them tell the whole story.
