i gotta agree with silverdevil. iraq won't have a free capitilistic market. it will be government controlled. i would not be suprised if they went communist after the US left.
US is never going to leave....there going to be there for a long ass time i think..my friend is going back over there for another year starting in FEb...then his brother goes over there in march for a year...

i'm not and american but i sympathize with how u all feel
i disagree with a lot of what bush does and says and i hate this war basically because america is sending 18 yrs old to fight a war they know nothing about...if u look at the all the soldiers that were killed most of them are like 18-25 yrs old...and that just makes me so sad
saddam needed to be stripped of power...believe me i am from a third world country and my parents lived through crazy racial rioting...we were treated like dirt because of a corrupt gvt...lots of my uncle had to form mini army's to protect our area from arsonists and other crazy shit...no human beings deserve opression
manjin is right...all of u are lucky to be born and raised in america or canada...
u all can sit on ur nice couch and watch ur 52" tv and shake ur head and then rant about the injustices in the world, then turn off ur tv drive to the mall in ur honda and don't give the opressed another thought....
i might disagree with bush but as a person who lived in squalor and saw my mom cry nightly becasue her 2 daughters might not have a future to look forward to i am glad that america is over in iraq helping these ppl because they weren't better off with saddam

^I served my Country and thats why I am so passionate about Supporting the Troops over there in harms way. Its a "Volunteer" service, so please don't undermine the training, skills and service over there in Iraq. These "18-25" year olds are doing what most don't have the balls to do.

guys not to get off subject but be happy were not in Israel. cause over there military service is MANDATORY as soon as you turn 18. 2 years for men and like 18 months for women.
i was going to enlist myself until bush was re-elected. i have to keep telling all these recruiters that i refuse as long as he is in office. i refuse to have him as my supreme commander and cheif.
i agree with pushpa 100 percent. its different view when your NOT born here or orignally from here. its completely different.
when i see free people in Iraq i feel good for them. the only problem i had is the reason to go in there. the reasons were BS. no WMDs at all. nothing.
everyone deserves to be free. that might be the only reason to be there. to keep them "free" until they can be free on their own.
What do you guys know about Iraq besides what the media feeds you? Discussing politics is like having a good vocabulary...... the more words you know the more words you can think with....
Same with politics..... the bits of information you see on TV are like vocab words. You put them together and think and try to form opinions. But you're only thinking with what you heard/read from the media. That makes all of these opinions pretty worthless.
I think there are about 5 people in this country who know the true reason for us going into Iraq.... but since I cant prove any of this my opinion is pretty pointless.

1. iraq used to be americas allies. we gave them weapons and trained there men back in the 80s.
2. iraq used to be at war with other middle eastern countries, enemies of the US, thats why they were our allies back in the day
3. kuwait is basically the richest country on earth because even though it might not even be 10 square mile large, its all land over oil. when hussien could make a deal with them I. E. steal from them, he started to torch all of them.
4. the above was the reason for the 1st gulf war.

I dont even know why I'm replying to this after seeing some of the stuff you post.....
Maybe you should take your own advice and stop assuming..... instead try reading/thinking/comprehending before stating a thought.
The whole point of my post was to say that there are many facts that we do not know about this war (I dont know why you brought up the Gulf war out of no where), hence I did not post what I think about this particular war.

thats been the biggest question on my mind since the war started..... look at some countries in africa, their own government is commiting genocide there and USA isnt doing anything about it. instead, lets use catchy phrasing like "Operation Freedom" to blow smoke up the average person's ass whose IQ does not equal the number of fingers on their hands.
After Bush admitted that we went into Iraq on faulty evidence (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10461235/) the story now was to liberate the people. And yea, i still laugh at this reason also.
