I know what they stand for but why is it necessary for networks and other organizations to announce or project that next to a persons name who is in the political arena per se...?

so people know if they should follow them blindly. The only topic that really seperates the parties is abortion and war. which is ironic because you would assume if you are anti abortion then your anti war or if your pro killing adults who mess things up you would be pro killin a fetus that gets in the way. so this way when someone isnt talking about those subjects we know to agree with them.

It's important because some people have such bad tunnel-vision, they only vote exclusively for whichever party. They don't care about the issues, they defer to the candidate that has the right letter next to their name.

SDadnly enough, this country is divided into two parties, both of which ignore the will of the populace pretty evenly. They make it a big deal to vote for one party or the other and make it a priority to squash other parties so that the R's and D's cafn keep holding onto their stranglehold of power.

Obviously there are going to be the people that follow blindly and don't have any proof to backup what they are saying. Those are the people that will listen to their party talk and ignore the other one completely.

However, if a person is slightly more educated on facts, or someone like me that is actively pro-life and Christian. I trust by way of my faith that Christian values are a necessary part of our world, and therefore look for those values in our representatives. I realize that the vast majority of political figures that posses and govern according to Christian values are republican.

So personally, it's helpful so that I can know up front where a person stands, especially on very Christian issues such as abortion.

The funniest thing about people voting based on how they feel about abortion is that it's a moot issue. If you vote for your senator because he opposes abortion it's irrelevant. He can't do anything to stop it.
