She just might not be comfortable talking in front of a camera. She might have been up for three days straight working with the relief effort and just said the wrong name because she's tired. She might not really know the hurricane's name for whatever reason. She might be scatterbrained. She might not be in touch with the "real" world. Maybe she said it right the other 20 times that were intentionally edited out of this footage so that she'd seem dumb or heartless. In any case, based on the limited viewpoint this footage affords, we don't know what was really going on here, so any arguments made about her character based on this footage are ultimately untenable.

it runs in the family. his mother is stupid as hell also. i dont remember the exact quote, but bill maher quoted it on his show. she was on camera, and talking about how the poor african americans who were left w/o homes from the hurricane are all evacuating and coming over to texas...

al franken retold a story of meeting her on his radio show to a bunch of people who were a mix of democrats and republicans, and he thought she was kidding with her response to him, and they all shook their heads and said that no she wasnt, she was serious...shes a horrible person. (nothing to do w/ the hurricane...)
