1) Depends on what you are taxing.
2) I'm split between fire & rescue, defense, and medical.
3) Republican
4) Fox news
5) A combo, it's funny, but can cross the line. John Stewart is actually smart which is why he can be funny about being liberal.
6) O'Reilly Factor
7) I'm pro-Iraq. I relaize that even though there were no weapons of mass destruction, they were still a threat that needed to be taken care of. Any nation that harbors terrorists, or do not actively work to stop terrorists in the world are at the very least an indirect threat to the US and the world. I don't like war, I don't like death. I don't think that things are going perfect in Iraq, but they could be worse. I want our troops home, but not if that means that Iraq will be overrun with terror once again, discracing the service of the men and women that lost their lives trying to free that country.
8) Very Catholic
9) Pro LIFE. The opposite of life is death, not choice.
10) Mom is Independent, I'm not sure about my dad.
11) I'm going to home school my children until high-school. So I say skip that crap.
12) No kids.
1) yes, depends on what is being taxed
2)schools, medical, defense
3)democratic party
4)fox news
5)joke
6)o'reilly factor
7)never thought we should go in to iraq unless bin laden was there, now, we have to stay and finish the job.
8)agnostic
9)pro-choice
10)parents are republican
11)no way
12)no kids
1) For me about 25% (for what I earn because I believed in a tiered tax bracket)
2) Schools. If we're educated enough we don't really need the rest (in an ideal world).
3) I have not voted (I know, shame on me, but there are special circumstances so eff off ).
4) Multi source including Washington Post, New York Post, CNN, Fox News, and Reuters.
5) A combo. J.S. is hilarious and he does report the truth but puts a comedic spin on it.
6) Politically Incorrect, I mean, Real Time with Bill Maher (I like the points of view expressed and how it's politically incorrect).
7) I was pro-Iraq but now I'm anti-Iraq. I think we should stay and finish but I really hate having been lied to.
8) No, I'm not religious.
9) I'm pro-choice. The opposite of life is death, Pheaton, but it was not called pro-life until the right-wingers spun it that way. It used to be anti-abortion and they renamed it to get people to follow it (nobody is anti-life just like nobody liked the death tax, previously known as Estate Tax).
10) My parents are apolitical (just like me) but that's just because they don't care anymore. They used to be one of each (one D and one R).
11) All school should be free and provided by the government. I would sign.
12) No kids.
1-depends on whats being taxed
2-schools (smart kids can make the rest happen)
3-hahaha not american but if i was i would be an dem cause they closest to values of liberals in canada
4-newspaper, internet, local news station
5-combo....sometimes thoguh it can be the sad truth
6-none i hate to see people fighting over marginal differences
7-sending young men to fight a war they barely know anyhting about was the most irresponsible decision the american gvt made. (i know i'm gonna sound like a hippie) but education is the only way to stop the fighting. we are killing each other and then mourning the deaths...
8-yeah and no...i try to be good
9-pro choice
10-very liberal
11-i'd sign and think smarter kids
12-no kids but i have a couple nephews and i mean i want them to grow up and have the best of everything when they were born just began to feel more strongly in things i already believed in
1) anywhere from 25-45 percent, I think it depends on the tax bracket (should be better structured) and also on what the spending if for
2) I think both education and medical, I think that we need to educate our youth because they are the future. And I believe the government needs to provide better healthcare.
3) Republican
4) All over...CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, The Daily Show, Jay Leno lol...top news programs I watch are O'Reilly Factor and Hannity and Colmes (I think I got his name right?), The internet and Newspaper also
5) Both. I think 90% of the time its a joke and 10% sad truth.
6)Hannity and Colmes or the O'Reilly Factor (although Hannity and Colmes talk a little more financial news)
7) pro-Iraq, while there are no weapons of mass destruction and Osama wasn't there...Saddam needed to be stopped, because with them Iraq would always possess the ability to complete terrorists actions and therefore be a threat to the United States (and world)
1) Tough to say. I can tell you right now, we pay WAY too much in Federal tax and not nearly enough in State, because the Federal Government is way too damn big.
2) Fed money should go to defense and infrastructure. State money should go to education and local projects.
3) Bit of Both. I would like to see some Libertarians at the Federal level, and some Democrats locally.
4) Drudge.com, Drudgereport.com, Boston.com, Freerepublic.com, and DailyKos.com
5) Hilarious, and too truthful...
6) I use to listen to Jay Severen, 96.9 FM in Boston, but apparently he is getting sindicated, so he is hasn't been on in a while.
7) It's not our job to nation build. Its one thing to topple a regime we don't like, but this crap about rebuilding the nation will never last. Get the UN to do it. (but don't get me started on the UN...)
8) yes
9) pro choice
10) Pretty independant... voting both ways.
11) It depends. Free for everyone? Is it private, or state run? The way I look at it, it will increase the property values in the area which is a good thing, it just has to be managed right...
12) nope.
1) like everyone else said, all depends on what your taxing.
2) defense
3) republican
4) cbs, fox news, cnn.
5) combo
6) o'reilly factor.
7) anti iraq, we need to finish what we've started. we're not setting a very good example if we can't finish what we've started.
8) christian.
9) pro life.
10) republican
11) no way you aren't raising my taxes.
12) not yet.
1) depends on what what is being taxed (like everyone else said). 6% sales tax is fine, i can live w/ that...45% income tax? thats a little ****ed if you ask me, especially w/ the way its being spent.
2) federal taxes shouldnt pay for local things, and local taxes shouldnt pay for national things. its all relative.
3) 2 republican, 1 green
4) yahoo (so thats AP, Reuters, NY Times, etc.)
5) combo
6) real time w/ bill maher and daily show
7) was anti and didnt think they should have gone there; now im anti and think they need to get out of there as soon as they are able. that means get out w/o making life even worse for the iraqis than it is now. but it doesnt mean "finishing" the job because that job will not be finished soon. its a joke that bush and his posse actually thought he could "finish" something in any short period of time...
8) no, not at all. im spiritual...i value the teachings of tao and buddhism and many other religions, but i dont believe in god.
9) pro choice
10) republicans
11) i think education should be free and well funded. i think spending money to teach our kids is a GOOD investement. a hell of a lot damn better than spending money on weapons we dont need.
12) no kids yet
