oh yes...saying all that crap really makes me want to donate money and supplies...its dipshits like that that do not make me wanna help out the cause down there...kayne is a ****tard...and he's a BAD public speaker
Uhh... i like kanye. :/ And i just heard the final line, all that's been played on the news. So i have no reference to speak about. But.....the fed. gov't is NOT doing enough, and i don't blame the ppl ONE BIT for looting/surviving. They had no food, no water, no clothes, diapers, NOTHING! So, if i were in that situation, i would do everything and anything i can for me and my family to survive.
ok one question. why is it that when something happens to black people, they always pull out the race card, saying "oh you don't care about us because we're black!"
i mean can yall shut the fvck up, grow up and stop being ignorant. just because you're black doesn't mean the world has something against you all the time. are you that insecure about your race to blame others everytime something bad happens to you? i mean cmon now let's be real. look at the tsunami victims, did you see them bitching and crying on the news? NO, because they are apparently civilized people who knows how to act decently in public. those people just cry and totally out of words that i am deeply sorry for, they deserve every once of my sympathy. however, these fools in new orleans are the exact opposite. they cry and bitch about everything just because in america logic is, if you don't get what you want, you bitch and complain.
have anybody ever thought that, planning is part of a successful rescue effort? how the hell can you rescue successfully if you don't have any concrete plans, you think it's logical to just show up with no plans whatsoever? bullshit.
people just need to grow up and stop playing the race card.

Honestly, could not have been said better.
The reason the situation in NOLA has elevated to where it has come in the last few days is because these people aren't helping themselves anymore. I mean, what is the point of the murders, the rapes? Shooting the people that can help you? How is that going to help?
I realize people are on the edge after losing everything they have, but my God......have some sense. People are bitching because they have no food, no water. Well stop shooting at the people that can help you. The rescue people are having to dodge bullets to get into some of these areas. What the hell has happened to cause all of this? It boggles my mind......
The white people in NOLA are in the same boat (literally) as the black people. No one is getting help before the other, based on race alone. It's based on where they can get into first.
I just have so much to say about all of this......I could go on for days......
Kanye wants to talk about Bush not caring about the black people.......to me, it doesn't seem like the black people care too much about their own people in a time like this. If they did, they wouldn't be killing, shooting and raping!

lol, let me play devils advocate some more since this topic seems very one sided. Ok, most of you guys are right, "its because we're black" and the race card being pulled out so much nowa days it IS annoying. However, like the boy who cried wolf, at certain times, what people are saying IS true. I mean, I have had this conversation with minorities meaning (blacks/hispanics/asians) and they believe it is somewhat racial, but they do believe not enough is being done. Then I have the same conversations with caucasions (sp?) and they think its a load of crap and people need to stop "b1tchin".
Im just wondering, out of everyone who has replied here, and has said kanye's a idiot, moron, dipsh!t, and the racial issues need to stop, is anyone of you a minority? Meaning hispanic/black/asian? Or do any of you live in a predominantely black/hispanic/asian community? I mean, im not black, (im filipino to be exact) but i am a minority and live in a predominantly black/hispanic/asian community. Yes, I have been through things that most people have not gone through, dealing with the fact im a minority and honestly the majority will never understand. I can have stories that go on for days on what racial situations I have faced due to the fact of being a minority. Honestly, this is probably not a racial thing, but come on, we ALL know NOT enough is being done, and it took Bush 4 days just to even touch down and realize the damage here? To most people, all you see are african americans trying to survive this disaster and bush taking a long time. Now, you take 1 + 1 and it equalls 2.
Further more, to all those who are just being d1cks saying this racial thing is BS, and people need to stop b1tchin. Seriously, you guys will NEVER understand what its like. Having disadvantages, being stared at like you have a 2nd head on your shoulder, cops stoping you just to ask for i.d., then searching your pockets, and asking what exactly are you doing in this neighborhood. Really, you guys will never ever in a million years understand.
Ok, I've read through hundreds of things about this, about minority opression, racial undertones in the relief efforts, etc. And to be honest, Kanye West loves attention. He craves it, whether positive or negative, he has to have attention. He cried when he didn't win an award, well, tough shit sonny boy, your album wasn't that great, and the critics found the same to be true. You lose, get over it. He's obviously insecure and needs acceptance. Well, this seems to be a perfect way to get it, assuming you're trying to infuriate a bunch of mongoloids. The relief efforts in New Orleans are racist? Yeah, whatever... There are white people as well as black people down there, mexicans, whatever, all races are represented. So maybe, just maybe, Bush is racist, against everyone who's not named Bush, regardless of race. That's a cop out and you're looking for someone to blame for your lack of ability to make a way for yourself, period. You feel opressed? What have you done to get out of poverty? Live off of the government cheese? Seriously, I don't feel the least bit sorry for someone that's not willing to work towards making themself better. How about you go out and get a job and work towards advancing your place in society? Don't sit and wait for your hand out to come in and expect it to get larger. Up until this point, I'm sure this will be a racist statement in someone's eyes, regardless of the fact that I haven't been race specific, racism is what is in your mind. You're going to sit and point your finger at me when you're opressing yourself. I'm sure the NAACP will be crying out for reperations yet again after this. They want to be compensated for their shortcomings that they create. Racism exists in this world, it's a fact of life, you can't blame an entire race for what a few people do or think, or say though. Evaluate people as an individual and form your opinion based on their beliefs. Problem is, that'll never happen because everyone, regardless of race, is not open to racial equality. The black man's always going to think the white man is trying to keep him down, and the white man is always going to feel hatred coming from the black man. We are responsible for making our own way, that's the fact here. Regardless of race, success lies in your desire to be successful.
Now, for the looting part. Again, I'm not making a blanket statement, but I'm sure someone will deem it that way, and probably deem it offensive. When someone is "looting" food, they are doing it to survive. They are still stealing for someone, but it has justified reasoning. When you're looting designer clothes, big screen tv's, and jewelry, explain to me, how, exactly, are any of those items going to help you stay alive? Some people are justified in looting, then you have the ghetto folks (regardless of race) trying to steal luxury items. I've never seen a luxury item save a person's life by way of nourishing them. That's the difference, period. If you're "looting" food, you're justified in doing so. If you're looting something that's not imperitive to your health or survival by means of nourishment, you are a theif and deserve to be punished to the full extent of the law. Wishfull thinking here compells me to wish for Marshall Law. That's not going to happen. Vigilante justice would be good enough for people stealing items that they don't need to survive.
And for the skeptcs and cynics that are going to say "You don't know how is it to be there, or how it is to be opressed, etc." You're right, I don't know what it feels like to be oppressed. I went to school and got my education, all the while working as soon as it was legal for me to (even though I did small odd jobs even before then, and umpired kids baseball). I've had a job since I was 15. I worked from the time I was 13. I grew up in a single parent household, and while I'm sure I didn't have to work, I felt compelled to. And for me not knowing how it is down there, I might not be there, but I know how the people feel as y home has burned to the ground before. I didn't go stealing from people, and neither did my mother. We worked to rebuild our lives. I've also sat down and talked with victims of this disaster as my place of employment is in a government position, and we set up arrangements for 5 families to live in a local apartment complex for the duration of this disaster, and well after. We've set up stores to help them with furniture, clothing, etc, as they lost everything. We're working towards finding housing for more, as availability comes open in other places. Those families aren't blaming anyone for their lives being ripped apart, they're working towards rebuilding their life they once had. I've sat and talked to the father of the family, and while downtrodden and defeated, they're going to do what it takes to rebuild their life. That's the path that I wish all of these people would take, but that's not going to happen. It's inevitable that people are going to rely on the power of the government and the handouts they'll recieve to rebuild. You have to make your own way in life, unfortunately, lots of people don't understand that and don't feel compelled to do so.

In a split second your awe is cracked open. You look at things differently - smell things differently..... But most people have the luxury of not knowing when that clock's going to go off. And the irony of it is that that keeps them from really living their life. It keeps them drinking that glass of water but never really tasting it."

i don't think bush took a long time. i thought the amount of help that was gathered and transported was rather fast. new orleans was completely under water and inaccessible for days. and i called kayne a dipshit because he is. the way he made that announcement made me not want to send food, clothes, money, or any other supplies to new orleans.
i have one question...how the hell does Bush know who the supplies is going to unless he's there giving it. Now I personally do not think Bush is that great of a president, but i admit that he has a little bit of courage to actually go to New Orleans. When i heard that on the news, i thought he was going to be shot and i really think he was risking his life going down there during the aftermath.
and you really believe that in a natural diaster, people should be making this into a race issue? i do not believe it is a race issue until someone announces..."he's doing that because i'm <insert race here>." like what happened
i read an article about a black family complaining about racism during the hurricane. a chopper found them and carried them off to a dry area...they called the pilots racist when they dropped them off to go find more people to help. the reason they called the pilot racist was because he dropped them off on a road outside the destruction not in someone's backyard or anything like that. then a white guy (and the specifically said white) came by and tried to help and tried to give them money since they didn't have any...and they didn't take it...I BET YOU if he was a black, that family would have taken any of this help and hugged the guy. then someone else came by, a white lady (and they specifically said white) with clothes and diapers for them. they took that, and thanked her. then they complained to reporters that it was only a little bit and that the lady should have given them more.
so this really isn't a race issue...until someone decided to pull out the race card because red cross didn't give someone everything they had.
Im just wondering, out of everyone who has replied here, and has said kanye's a idiot, moron, dipsh!t, and the racial issues need to stop, is anyone of you a minority? Meaning hispanic/black/asian? Or do any of you live in a predominantely black/hispanic/asian community?
I am not a minority, but I do live in a VERY heavily populated minority area. In fact, the whites should be considered the minority here. The racial makeup of where I live (Prince George's County, MD -- right outside of DC) is 27.04% White, 62.70% African American, plus 7% of Hispanics. I researched that, but I think that number is signifigcantly heigher for the African American population.
So I know how it feels to be discriminated against by blacks, looking at you like you've got 3 heads on your shoulder when you shop in their neighborhoods, etc. Racisim works both ways. It's not just whites against blacks.
The citizens of New Orleans (which are actually mostly Cajun) are acting down right idiotic. Do you see the whites in Mississippi resorting to violence because all of their life's work is gone? Not that we can tell........or at least, it's not to the extent that we see in NOLA. The blacks are against their own people in the time of need. If they cared, they would be out there helping each other instead of killing and raping.
