I found this article on CNN and wanted to come out of my skin about it. Why is it then when ever something happens to a Black Neighborhood all the sudden its about race and Black and White? Can we as American's help it if a Majority of New Orleans residents happen to be poor African-American? Huh, I don't think so!
These are the same people bitching and complaining that actually had to sit down and think about giving money to New Orleans as Federal Aid. Now there's a thought. I say STFU, put on some boots and gloves, get your butt's down there and do something if YOU think things are not going the way they should. And, STOP playing that damn race card!

Well, what chafes my ass is that they are allowed to have assosiations like the "Congressional Black Caucus" and NAACP but if anyone makes a "White Congressional Group" they will be up in arms. How is that equality of the races?

Oh please. The relief has taken so long because of poor planning. No one expected the hurricane to cause so much widespread devastation as it did. The looting and violence isn't helping matters either, and who is mainly responsible for that? The folks from the poor black neighborhoods who have basically become war lords who are taking advantage of the lawless state that the city is in. You'd think that being a professional politician, these people would have a little more sense in what they say.
You wonder why there is racism in this country. It seems that they black community are always throwing up the race card. Everything that goes wrong is b/c they are black. Give me a break. Just like silverdevil said......there are black churches, colleges, fraternities, etc.. If we formed a whites only university the world would come to a end.

yeah its ironic and stupid, these black organization really really are contradicting.
the problem is, THERE WERE white-only insitutions before.. thats where all the problems came from! did you guys forgot something?
yes it was long ago, yes a lot of people say "hey get over it" but you have to realize that you have a society that developed from slavery.
yeah some of the things these black leaders spout when situation arise is ridiculous, but lets not bitch about black-only insitution.. they came about from a very very real reason.
so every society developed from slavery. back in the day you didnt declare bankrupcy you got owned. africans owned africans. and as far as having ethnic clubs i am pro ethnic clubs. i would never hold a black man back but i would prefer to go to clubs and restaurants that were segregated. i know this is an out dated view but the point i am tryin to make is that the black leadership in this nation only makes me want this more. if they actually started listening to how white people think and how we view then and they manipulated us the way white leadership does who knows i may come to side with them. but aslong as they act ignorant i dont want them near me or advising my leaders on who deserves what.

poor planning = yes.
no one expecting? no.
what was the point of the mandatory evacuation then? the problem is, FEMA listed three deadly scenarios in America way before 9/11. You got earthquake in San Fran area.. terriorist attack in NY, and hurricane in New Orleans...
okay two of those things happen.
the problem is, relief should have been on standby.. regardless if we need it or not.. and if that wasnt' the case.. then relief should have been mobilize faster.
comments like that seem to suggest that EVERYONE there has suddenly started up to cause trouble. no. the majority are starvin and stranded.. without food, without aid.. without water. the small amount that gather up arms, that started taking controls for themselves.. yeah those farkers need to be dealt with.
new orleans is so bad that last year cops fired 700 blanks in poor communitys and not one person called 911. so you can see why they have their issues with crime now.

Well, once the hurricane passed it wasn't as bad as it is now. Everything is due to the levies breaking two days after the 'cane. If it weren't for the water in the streets N.O. wouldn't be in such bad shape.
The "warlords" that now roam the streets aren't helping things, either. They think that what they get now they'll get to keep later. Sorry to let you down, Dishay, but once law and order is restored there will be plenty of videos and pictures with your face on them. They will search for your dumb ass and put you in jail citing the recent anti-looting law. I can't wait.

Yes, there where white-only institutions. Then we realized they were wrong and shut them down.

yeah and I'm sure its all peachy now eh.
come on, things dont change or fix that easily. you discriminate and segregate.. so now of course they create their own organization to try to take care of themselves..
because no matter how we look at it, racism is still abound in this country. it can't be helped. so until its all gravey, which wont be anytime soon.. there will always be a specific ethnicity only organization.
there's plenty of white-only places too, they're just not as public as these other ones.

They did expect there to be destruction on a mass scale, but the didn't expect to levies to be damn near completely destroyed. Granted, New Orleans is like a big bowl - but they didn't expect 80% of the city to be under close to 20 feet of water. Even if relief was on standby, which it should have been, it still would have taken longer to get to everyone due to the amount of water that was pouring into the city thousands of gallons at a time.
