Shouldn't Christians be preaching love and not murder? That's what I thought Christ would do and, as a Christian (someone who follows the teachings of Christ and strives to live as he did), he should do as well.
BTW, what ever happened to live and let live, turn the other cheek?

I agree, and I also hope this is the end of his career. We don't need people calling for elected leaders of foreign, sovereign nations to be executed, PERIOD. All countries have a duty to change their officials if they don't like them. If China called for the killing of Bush everyone would be up in arms.

I agree, and I also hope this is the end of his career. We don't need people calling for elected leaders of foreign, sovereign nations to be executed, PERIOD. Its not what they are going to be saying about Pat... they have enough to piss about as is it w/o Robertson running his fat one..
.. I am talking about how the world does not seperate people (ie. Pat) when they think of a country.. when he speaks like that, he is not speaking for himself, he speaks for the whole country.... thats how others (not in the USA) will percive this.

(CNN) -- Conservative religious broadcaster Pat Robertson said Wednesday that his remarks about the removal of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez were taken out of context and that he never called for the killing of the Latin American leader.
"I didn't say 'assassination.' I said our special forces should 'take him out.' And 'take him out' can be a number of things, including kidnapping; there are a number of ways to take out a dictator from power besides killing him. I was misinterpreted by the AP [Associated Press], but that happens all the time," Robertson said on "The 700 Club" program.
The controversy began Monday when Robertson called Chavez "a terrific danger" bent on exporting Communism and Islamic extremism across the Americas.

while I would be the first to agree this dude is WAAAAY whack-o I would have to kind of disagree that he is completely backpeddling. He did use the term "take him out" which I think is reasonable to assume that he meant kill. However the AP (associated press) does CONSTANTLY take things way out of context and insert a lot of biased assumptions into stories. It's no secret they already dislike Pat Robertson. Because of that I have to give Pat the a LITTLE benefit of the doubt that he could have meant something besides killing the guy.....
I don't know why he is seen as a very serious threat or anything... He's the annoying guy on the tv!
I mean another person on the other hand actually has armies to command that will do anything for their leader/country...
