Glue residue

My 2007 Civic EX rear passenger side window got smashed in a freak lightning accident. I had to put some packaging tape(NOT Duct tape) on a bag to close the window. Now the glue residue does not come off. Any way to remove this without damaging the paint?

Re: Glue residue

at our dealership, we use something called Velocity Glaze. It has a little denatured alcohol in it...

just straight denatured alcohol works too....just have windex or something on hand afterwards, as it leaves a qhite residue that wipes off with water or any other cleaner.
