Honda Civic Fuel, Oil, Cleaners & Other MaintenanceExtending the life of your Honda Civic requires the proper fuel, oil, and cleaners, along with other regularly scheduled maintenance. Keep your Honda Civic fuel and oil at the right levels to keep your Civic on the road longer.
I have 2 7th gen civic that I ran nothing but Mobile 1. I have a friend that's an AMSOIL dealer so I made the switch. I must say its awesome. Saves me time and money and gas mileage.
I change the oil once a year or every 25k miles using 25k mile filter.
The car starts and runs so smooth and I get way better gas mileage.
For both cars it cost me less than 100 bucks. I don't think 100 bucks a year for 2 cars is bad at all considering it cost about 30 bucks ever 3 months or so to change oil x 2 cars...
Just wanted to share! You guys should check it out. AMSOIL has done all the R&D and have answered every question you can think of...

no offense but....
ur a complete idiot if that's ur route for oil changing.
by doing what ur doing, ur engine is prone to failure, and no wonder you "feel so much of a difference" when you switched/changed to amsoil.
oil needs to be changed every 3 months or 3-5k. which ever comes first.
i only costs me 23 bucks to change my oil. ($12 for 5qt of valvoline, $10 mobile 1 filter)
whats better? spending 30ish bucks and keeping ur car running well, or spending 3000 in a few years due to a tranny failure (or some kinda replacement)
just something to consider, because many of us here will agree with me.

Sum 'rithmatic skiils rite thur.
yea you shouldnt change your oil every 25k. Synthetic is safe till 15k in a proper enviornment.

+1 i don't understand why anyone would wait 25k miles to change oil. your just begging for an engine failure by doing that
