i use mobile 1 super synthetic 5W20 oil with a mobile oil filter for fully synthetic oil. even mobile gas. LOL. mobile's a good brand.
Mobil one shows high iron in used oil data see Bob Is The Oil Guy, some say it means nothing others say it means alot. As always with this kind of guy in the diner talk, you have to draw from your own gut feelings.

IMHO mobil is expensive orverrated crap. Took them four years to pass the japaneese tourture tests that castrol had passed several years prior. I've broke that oil down in 1200 miles whereas i still had 1200 left after 3000 miles of hard driving on castrol. Yes that is with an oil analysis. And their fuel is expensive! Shell 93+V-power+N all the way! Otherwise BP/Chevron. I'm really picky about what fuel I use in my vehizzle. Mobil FTL

napa gold is an excellent oil filter. i tend to stick with k&n cause i always have trouble getting my old filter off and i need the socket lol. valvoline is also excellent oil, even the conventional stuff. i will use maxlife for as long as i own the car.

Thanks Gearbox, I have heard it was great oil, but I'm glad to have your confirmation of that.

I feel like the Honda MTF breaks down quickly. I'm really not that impressed so far. Shifting doesn't feel any better than 10w-30 either.
Guys... please. Don't use Fram. Use Wix instead. Relatively cheap, and a heck of a lot better oil filter. Even the overpriced K&N is way better. Try to get puralator, if you can.
i use the honda oem filter. i work at a honda dealer so i get a good price and it's easy. i used the blue purolator when i worked for a ford dealer though.

The Fram Extended Guard is a great filters. I would agree that people shouldn't use the orange can Fram. There's better filter for lower price. You can pick up a Super Tech for almost $2 less and it's a better filter.
so youre saying 92-94% filtration is good? which fram even puts on the box? when other filters the same price maybe $4 (purolator pure one) filters 99.9%?? i would never use a fram even if it cost $10 cheaper and risk a messed engine.

The above thread contains information on why FRAM is bad.
"Filter Ruins Another Motor
Frequent Rebuilds Are Mandatory
Forget Reaching Advanced Mileage
Frequently Reusing Awful Materials
Fully Recirculates All Metal
Faultiness Really A Mission
Filtration Ruined After Mounting"
