I get an average of 40mpg in city and have even gotten over 45 on several occasions. I shift around 2 grand but even when im gettin on it alot its actually hard for me to get below 35 in city. Ive got I/H/E, pulleys and royal purple tranny fluid. Doesnt do much for power but it defiently helps effieciency, lol

So is it like Rodeo Sex? You know, where you’re with a girl from behind and then you whisper in her ear that her sister’s boobs feel firmer and have to hold on for more than 8 seconds.
I have just bought 2003, civic 5 door hatchback, executive used aproved car.
The mielage varies from 20mpg to 37mpg. i took it the dealer and he came up with 41mpg. I have not got more than37mpg. the car also gives jerks at very low speed.
The engine rpm goes very high in te first gear.....

Please can some one advice....
If you have an 03' Hatchback then its the Si model of that year, which means its engine its different than many of those who have posted in this thread. Its engine is made more for power than efficiency. Its a Civic so of course its still great on gas but its not gonna be as good as if you bought a cheaper DX, LX, or EX. 41mpg is hard to believe but im sure its possible under the right circumtances. Its not rare for me to get over 40 but I drive an EX, and have a very gas conscious demeaner when I drive. Im not sure what to say about it being jerky at low speed or the RPM's being high in first gear. Hondas usually do rev higher than most cars... In the future when you post give more info, like whether its a manual or automatic, the model, any modifications...that sort of a thing
