It is in your manual. Open the glove compartment and you will see two little handles on each side. Pull them out and let the glove compartment fall. The cabin filters are behind that. It takes 2 minutes to change them.

Dust and Pollen Filter Replacement (With Air Conditioning)

NOTE: LHD type is shown, RHD type is symmetrical.
The dust and pollen filters should be replaced every 48,000 km (30,000 miles) or 24 months whichever comes first. Replace the filters more often if the air flow is less than usual.
1.) Open the glove box.
2.) While holding the glove box (A), remove the glove box stop (B) on each side.

3.) Hang the glove box down.
4.) Remove the filter lid (A) from the blower unit, then pull out the first dust and pollen filter (B). Slide the second filter to the left and pull it out.

5.) Remove the filter (A) from the housing (B) and replace the filter.

6.) Install the filters in the reverse order of removal.

AntiLoop will become famous soon enough
I just changed my cabin filters. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

I got rid of that HORRIBLE mildew smell I got from the A/C.

Filters were dirty as hell... mind you I changed it for the first time at 80k.

just wondering, you know how the K&N air filter can be cleaned right? does that mean the cabin filter can be cleaned? or it has to be replaced?

btw, if the cabin filter can only be replaced, what's a good brand? OEM or aftermarket? i'm thinking about napa gold because i've read reports that even napa gold performed better than K&N air filter and napa gold also has cabin filters so i'm considering this....

any ideas?

thanks

you can vaccuum them up and they will be good as new as gearbox also said, oem is the best to go but aftermarket wont hurt, whatever brand you want to use is up to you

vacuuming them does not make them as good as new. it just removes all the big shit caught up in there. all the smaller dirt is caught in the material and will still plug up the filter element. Now I dont see a need to get all fancy with the cabin filter, any brand will work, its not like you are trying to gain power from it. its sole purpose is to reduce contaminants entering the vehicle through the AC.

true. it won't get the blackness out. I recently bought napa gold filters since they are better than oem.
