im flushing my radiator and replacing my brake fluid in a month or so. I have a 2002, and to date, it's had nothing but oil changes done.

edit: by me of course (to avoid mockery from mods such as robbclark )

Honestly...I dont know if I would change that tranny fluid. Bad things have been known to happen to autos when you change fluid. ESPECIALLY if the auto has high mileage!!!

I'm not sure, but thats just something I've heard more than a few times from a few different people over the years. Ask your local transmission shop if its recommended to do an fluid change on a high mileage automatic tranny and see what they say. What happens is the new tranny fluid with the fresh detergents washes away material and dirt that actually creates a seal in areas that need to be sealed and creaks leaks and problems. This is just folklore I guess if thats what you wanna call it but it makes sense to me and I personally wouldnt try it. Atleast not with a high mileage auto tranny.

Auto tranny fluid should be changed every 30k and if not, then 60k. Read the manual. Auto tranny needs to be changed more often than manual transmission fluid. Actually at 60k you should flush a auto tranny. Read the manual it should tell you, or call a Honda dealer.

I would show you, but I don't drive a slush box hehe, you take thing too seriously riley
