lol, my point is still the same as Gearbox's, changing soon cann't hurt, but waiting can
my mom oricinally leased htis car for herself. during her lease she followed the maual's suggestion of every 10k change the oil. but i bought it out of the lease in august of '04..since then i change the oil every 3k
Well, I guess I will change my oil every 5,000 miles...I went to 7,000 miles this time, but I agree 5,000 miles change is safe...for all you who change at 3k you are wasting your $$$$$ waste is away .........
The manual says 5,000-10,000 ....5,000 is very safe 10,000 max.
less than 5,000 - unessary and waste of money
you should belive the honda manual made by honda techs experts. new cars can wait longer to change...5,000 miles it is.
Thanks for the comments

eh change it whenever you want. I drive 120+ miles a day so changing it every 3k would mean i would to change my oil almost every month.
Well driving 120+mile a day, I'm going to guess you do lots of highway driving, in that case I would go 5k, maybe even 6 if you drive with a lite foot and use synthetic
