eh change it whenever you want. I drive 120+ miles a day so changing it every 3k would mean i would to change my oil almost every month.

StealthCivic is an unknown quantity at this point
changed my oil today...

Well, I guess I will change my oil every 5,000 miles...I went to 7,000 miles this time, but I agree 5,000 miles change is safe...for all you who change at 3k you are wasting your $$$$$ waste is away .........
The manual says 5,000-10,000 ....5,000 is very safe 10,000 max.
less than 5,000 - unessary and waste of money
you should belive the honda manual made by honda techs experts. new cars can wait longer to change...5,000 miles it is.
Thanks for the comments

you can run as long as you want on the same motor oil, recommend you dont go over the limit the manual states or what the oil manufacuter states.

basic rule of thumbs are
regular oil: 2500 miles -+
super/part syntheic: 3k -+
fully syntheic: 5000-+

i use fully syn and change every 4k -+
everyone has different driving habits. some go highway most of the time, some race, etc.

Well driving 120+mile a day, I'm going to guess you do lots of highway driving, in that case I would go 5k, maybe even 6 if you drive with a lite foot and use synthetic

I would rather make them rich than me poor. Can afford a little extra oil, but a new engine install is way to much for me
