Atlanta area people please read, i need some help.
ok so i'm going to be moving to atlanta in august and i'm going to attending the art institute of atlanta so i need some suggestions on a good place to live in. my main question really is would it be a bad idea to live in midtown or buckhead if i had to drive to dunwoody to go to class everyday? i know a girl going there next year and shes going to be living in midtown, so i suggested it to my parents and they didnt seem to like the idea because of traffic. my second question is would dunwoody be a cool area to live in? and if anyone has any apartment suggestions please let me know. thanks.

dunwoody is alright i guess, lots of old people tho. I go to GPC in dunwoody. I dont think that living down town would be a problem. U will most likely be going against traffic so I don't see it taking you more than 20 min to get to school. U can also ride marta. There is a marta station within walking distance, and u can get a marta card. That would save alot on gas. Why not go to the buckhead campus? Its closer to where u want to live.
i dont think there is a buckhead campus. id rather live in an area with more students and people my age, but sometimes i have a problem being late to school so i'm trying to find a way to balance the two. i dont know what i'm going to do.
so where should i look for a place? like i said, i want to live in a fun area with people my age, but at the same time i dont want to have to worry about a bunch of nonsene. where do you guys live?
hahaha. i live like 2 miles from the mall of GA. anywhere downtown thats not ubsurdley expensive will be the ghetto. i mean i lived off of clairmont. thats pretty close to downtown. like 10 minutes away. but still, i say commute. and if you really want to live downtown, try a dorm hahaha.
Dude just deal with a small drive and move to Gwinnett! it a tight place and you are 20 min from almost anything in MetroATL, as well Mall of GA. 45 min from Athens (UGA) MajinB PM me i would like to met other 7thgencivic mem. if you kewl with it! and you too R3DL1N3 after you get hear!
Boris, never mind bro I have already met you at BP a little research goes a long way

I've stayed in down town for more than 3 years. My car has never been stolen. How much are you trying to spend? If you want to live with other students there are a few places that i know of that will charge you per room, but they come with everything possible(furniture, DSL, covered parking, work out room, pool, ect...). If you live in buckhead you will be over there with all the rich mofos in their Bentlys and shit. And if u look aroun you can find some good deals. I found a 2 bedroom right next to felini's in buckhead w/ water and electricity for $850. You just have to search.
- under $1000
- safe parking
- people my age
- decent driving time to dunwoody
- non-furnished
- washer/dryer in unit
if you have any suggestions of places based on that list please let me know. one question though, i know a lot of rich people live in buckhead, but how many students live in that area? would it be better for me to look more in midtown?
lol thats the place the girl i know is living at. id love to live there except i dont have a roommate and im skeptical about getting a random roommate. i dont like the idea of having to live with someone i've never met before.
ok, well, get an apartment guide or look online. there are places everywhere.
i know thats why im stressing. theres too many places, haha. but yeah i guess an apartment guide would be my best bet. i'm not used to living in a really big city so this should be interesting.
