Detailed guide with pictures on replacing coin box unit
When working on a car, I am one of those people that require detailed instructions WITH pictures.
For my first contribution to the 7thgencivic.com community, I've written up a detailed guide with pictures on how to replace the coin box unit. I don't know about the other years and similarities but the replacement was done on my 2002 LX (Canadian).
Let me know if there are any changes that has to be made. My vocabulary in regards to describing certain things in cars are not the best so please advise me if some of the words use in the guide are not correct.
MODERATORS: As soon as you can and if possible, please save the PDF somewhere and change the URL link to it. I don't need my ISP to shut down my webspace because people from all over the world are downloading it and causing bandwidth issue.

No? Not even "SAVE TARGET AS..."? Works for me...I haven't deleted the pdf file off my webspace yet, pending you mods saving a copy of it somewhere else and changing the URL link to it...

wow....you shure make it look more complicated than it is.....why did you need to replace it anyway???
Some of the steps are probably irrelevant (ie taking off the plastic panel) but never hurt to be very detailed...

The coin box does not stay shut. If you compare the pix, you can see something is broken/snapped off, preventing that retaining spring (???) from staying in place.
Came across this thread and I must say, hat's off to you. Nice details. I like the way you laid it all out, taking it down to the level of a complete novice. Yeah, for some of the people here, it was too much detail, especially for something that they'd consider to be simplistic. However, not everyone is a weekend mechanic and it's DIY's like this that make life easier.
Also, extra kudos for using the PDF format. That's the first time I've come across a DIY written like this and I think I might just start using that as a template for any I create myself.
