After realizing that we needed one (DIY), i went outside and installed my Revo SS.
Thanks to CapYoda & Grey once again for the upgrade kits!
You better thank me!
Total Time w/o any Mess-up's (4 Hours)
(but thanks to me, it shouldnt take you this long, now should it? )
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Take your seats (racing or stock) and slide them all the way to the front.
2. Locate the 2 screws on each side of the console from the rear (4 total)
3. Move to the front of the car down by the foot area and locate the push tab near the gas pedal (front of console)
4. Open the ol' mighty famous '03 ARMREST and locate the 3 screws and unscrew them.
5. Grasp your hands around the piece of the console and pull gently to lift up on the plastic top.
**(Green dots indicate where clips & screws are also hidden)**
6. You will now see 4 screws total.. (2 front, 2 rear) - Remove the rear screws.
7. Now move the front and do the same exact thing to the ones up there.
8. After removing all 4 of those screws above, what you wanna do now is grab underneath
of the cup holder and pull towards you and upwards some so the snap clips will break free
of the console near the cigarette lighter..
**(Green dots indicate the 2 snap clips)**
9. Here's a better shot of the 2 connectors that the snap clips attatch on.
10. This only applies to the people who have racing seats in their cars, but if you notice while
trying pull out the center console, its a tight fit and its not gonna come out as planned without
breaking everything into thousands of pieces. I found it easier to take out my seats to remove the console.
**(Grab a friend while you relax )**
11. Go sit in the backseat of the car and lift up and pull straight back and you have just completed the
DIY for the 2003 civic center console!
**(Green dots indicate the 4 bolts to remove the shifter)**
yep, doing the headunit taught me the basic breakdown of the dash..
so that made me wanna just do this DIY to help all the people like myself who always searched up "How to remove 03 console/etc.."

im not sure how the interior looks in the '04's but this is a good start, because they might just be pretty similar..
Originally posted by Jaykuai i have a 03 and my center console its different.. the cigarrete piece is another pice.. totally apart of the center console..
i wonder..
you think the same thing i thought when i was pulling it apart.
if you look @ #7, it shows the piece that is different.. you just unsnap from the sides of the center part, and then look @ #8 and that pulls out from the 2 snap parts i marked green for you..
i wasnt sure until i actually attempted it, and found out that i was stupid
im not calling you stupid
it pulls out in 1 piece, you just unplug the harness and thats it!

dealer installed options.
for 2001s, the console is basically the same. But there are 3 types of cigarette light panels:
One with just the cigarette socket and a space for a foglight button
One with a little storage bin under that
The 3rd has a drawer next to the cigarette socket but no space for a button.
Depends on how the car came from the factory.

damn they made it so much harder then the 01s and 02s it took me like 30 mintues or less to take it out and so forth but i msure this will help , great diy
Thanks for that DIY. I've always wondered how the shift boot was held in place (in #5) for the 03's. So it's just held by six clips? It should be the same in an automatic, right?
