yes its the same way in an auto..
we looked a friend's car and its pretty much the same..

the six green marks indicate 4 screws (2 up top, 2 on rear) and 2 clips in the middle holding down that plate.

o thanx u post it after i find out myself haha nah im playin around yea i 4 got who it was on this site i got every screw out and i could get that black piece around the shifter off but u have to use strength hah and i was afraid to beak it but yea i got my on about two times now and it took me about 30 min but i didnt remove my seats..for the headunit tho u dont have to remove the whole dash jus the cig lighter part then those two screws from what i heard i mite wanna do some blue lights in the air vents if i can take that off..

Thank you neonimpact, your dyi helped greatly in my 04 when I installed my hu. I have some pictures of an 04 auto, but it's the same as far as I can tell.

do i have to take out the whole center console in my 03 ex to put my head unit in or is there some way i can get the cig lighter trim peice out other than taking everything apart? any info would be cool

heh, need a lil help, how do i remove the plastic around the shifter? im finding it pretty tough to remove, maybe i need some more muscle. anyways where do i grip it? is it where i circled in red?

You have to remove the whole console. There are screws under it that hold on the shifter casing.

yea fly is right about removing the whole console, but if you wanna remove just that piece here's what you do..

grip from where you circled in red..
its best to stick a thick long object in there and pry up slowly and then pull up hard with you hand until you pop all four corners..

and then underneath that is 4 screws, just unscrew them and move onto the next step..
