DIY: Oil Change

<font face="Verdana">What you will need: <br /><br /><ul><li>2 Jackstands </li><li>A Jack </li><li>Wood Blocks (for safety) </li><li>Wrench </li><li>Oil Filter Wrench </li><li>Oil Drain Pan </li><li>New Oil </li><li>New Filter </li><li>New Crush Washer </li><li>Funnel (optional) </li></ul></font><p><font face="Verdana">*NOTE*<br />1. Make sure you know how much oil you'll need...dont' overflow!! RTFM (Read The F***ing Manual)<br />2. Don't know how tight to put on the drain plug? once again RTFM<br />3. I think this article is great, but let's stress the importance of the crush washer on the drain plug. Neglecting to use one, or using a crappy one, may result in you stripping the oil pan - which is a lot more expensive than a $.25 washer.

Posting the amount of oil it takes to fill would be good for some people without a manual but nice write up. A non vtec engine takes 3.2 liters or 3.4 quarts. The vtec engine uses a little more oil because the vtec system uses the engine oil to operate 3.5 liters or 3.7 quarts
