Ya, maybe I ask for too much? First they told me the market was bad. Then they told me it was because I left the country. But something weird is definitely going on here......you guys got a few minutes to do some sleuthing? Their website is
www.systelinc.com and with very little hard work I found that
www.systel.com and
www.systel.net are (what seem to be) 2 other companies named Systel Inc. but are completely unrelated to the Systel Inc. I worked for. Now I know my company was shady from some of the things I saw happen there, it was like Boiler Room. But all three of these Systel Inc. companies are headquartered in Atlanta but have different phone numbers and physical locations according to their websites. Can you guys find anything else? It seems an investigation would not be something they would welcome.
EDIT - OK, WTF? I look at the
www.systelinc.com site and there is a page which says it was established in 1996 and at the bottom of every page says it's copyright 2006. It's out of date obviously, which is one sign of non maintenance of the site but that's fine. Then when I check out
www.systel.com and
www.systel.net, they say on the bottom they're copyright 1996-2006, lining them up directly with my company. This would imply they're probably all the same company, however I'm more inclined to imagine one is riding the other's good name in an attempt to confuse perspective clients. This is since both are in the consulting industry and have similar client bases. I knew none of this......and I would like to stress this is a personal thought of mine and not fact as I don't want to be accused of libel. You can think whatever you want.
And when I check the Whois records, the ones for the legitimate looking sites systel.com and systel.net are available. However the records for my company, systelinc.com, are masked by Domain Discreet, an anonymous option available from the registrar, register.com. What is there to hide?
