Feel so Depressed about my life lately

In the past 2 years I've gotten married and have 1 son. I lov my wife and kid, but sometimes I wish things were like they were in the old days. Staying up late and no worries. Going out and hanging out. I feel so tied down. I can't stay up late on the computer anymore, cause the wife is on it for school. I live with my ****ing inlaws which is hell, but they watch the boy during our work day. I think right there is a huge problem. I don't work on my car anymore, cause there is no time. its so depressing sometimes. I've officially get sex once a month cause the wife is so doing her school, things theres no time for sex or a movie on fridays. I love my job doing helpdesk/IT. I just wish that I had more me time. My wife is leaving work to do school full time. So its up to me to bring in the $$$. Anyways thats my story. I'm 26 and I feel so old with all that goes on. I think I'll wig out before I'm 30.

that sux. you have to deal with making the $, so you dont have time to work on your car or the $ to buy car parts. im going thru kinda the same thing except with school. its tuff tryin to find the time to do all the things you used to w/o blowing ur $.

I am in the same boat as you. I am 26, been married for 1.5 yrs, and have a 2 yr old daughter. I am working 6-7 days a week to bring home the money and we still can't seem to put any money away. My wife only works part time. I haven't even started my civic in 3 months more or less worked on it. Sex is limited because I go to bed before my daughter does. I just keep telling myself that I am young and it takes time to be successful. Things will be all good in the end. Just be thankful that you have a wonderful and healthy family. To me, this is more important than money.

Also, you need to re-think your priorities......car and computer or wife and child ???

yea prioritize, but also dont loose sight of what makes u happy. If u give it all up u will only find yourself later down the line trying to catch them again. YEa put family first, and times now are trying, but if u stick it out all will work itself out... Remember everything happens for a reason

as for the tied down feeling, you are gonna have to deal with it, its a guy thing. Pretty much every guy has been in a relationship whether, a fling, a marriage, or just a simple GF and have felt the attached feeling, and just wanted to go out with the guys and chill ya know. But it takes the real "men" to deal with this feeling, and not do it, but stick it out untill u have the time for it.

it sucks growing up...stick it out and things will get better. once your wife is done with school, things will prob change alot. get your own house, she'll have a good job, etc., hang in there

Hmm. I'm 28, I have a son that's 2, and a girl that will be born in a month... and I'm having the time of my life.

First off, why the heck are you living with your in laws? Be a man, get your own place. Then you'll feel at home in your castle. Your wife will respect you. I don't make bank, but I make enough to make sure my wife can stay home and watch my kid, since that's our priority as parents.

Well speaking as a 31 year old...in almost the same boat...you just have to get on with it!

Life can suck alot, , just get a hobby, or at least try to get out of the house every so often!

Naw its all good. Times will always be up and down, but when you look at the wife and kid, it makes it worth, what ever you go through.
ZapThyCat -> i'd get my own place, except we are on one income and the wifes school is 20,000 a year. U try living on enough to get by and pay for that. Its now easy. Even with her Fin. aid. And living in the Bay area is not cheap. I'm sure u can vouch for that.
