would you date a girl 3 years younger than you? I mean, I know that's not such a bad idea if you're like 23 and she's 19, but the thing is I'm 19 and she's only 16. Isn't that like statuatory (spelling) rape?? She really likes me, I kinda like her, but It just doesn't seem right. PLS help out...

think about this .. .if something were to happen and you get statuatory rape charged on you , for now on when you move you have to go to your neighbors telling them what you did .. plus you cant coach little league baseball or anything like that haha

Why not just be cool with her instead of dating her? Kick it and all that stuff, but don't do any hanky-panky. Or....get in good with her parents, and then, if something does go wrong, they won't charge you with statutory rape.

If you don't plan on screwing her for a while, then you will have no problem. MOST state laws say that if she is under 16 you can have no relations but if she is 16, you are allowed to hold hands and kiss, thats it. No BJ's or licking the carpet, or sticking your hands under her shirt or in her pants is allowed. Think long and hard about it. If your in good with her parents, If at any time you feel like doing anything, then tslk to them about it. thats about the best I can tell you.

Check your state laws. Here the law is if the girl is under 18 and the guy is 18 + then it is statatory rape if there is sexual contact. Unless there is less than a 4 year differance in their ages. example : you are 19, she is 16 that is only 3 years differance so by the four year Statute of Limitations it would be ok. But this is in Tennessee

generally, 16 is the age of consent. and got boost, no nothing happens to either one. if both parties are underage, it is not statuatory rape.

In the good old state of California, if she is 17 364/365th's, it's a felony. Even if you are 1 day older than her.

Keep that in mind.

You may have done it before, and others may have done it, and gotten away with it. But I live in California, and I've done wrong things too, and when I think back to what I got away with, and what I could have been charged with... I know I was playing with fire.

16 y/o's are too immature, they are JUST unstable enough that they might hate you soon after and want to prosecute you. Or you might want to cheat on them and THEN they will want to prosecute you. OR they may figure out just how much power they have over whether you do 8-10, and try to hold that power over your head. Do you want any of those things to happen?

On the flip side, some 16 y/o's are nice and like the feeling, and you may get away with it. But it's not worth the risk, IMHO.
