now im really starting to freak out! i was out riding my new (well new to me,. i bought it used from my friend) bike a few days ago (a 2004 suzuki gsx-r 750, yes i finally got it!) and i walked into the house and set my keys down on the table. nothing new for me. so anyways as i was walking out of the house i went to grab my keys and lo and behold the keys were not there! so i started to freak out because that was the only key that i had to the bike1 so now what do i do?!?!?!?!?!? the only thing that i can think of is to call a dealership and see if they can cut me a key with the vin number. can they do that because i know the car dealerships can do that, but can a motorcycle dealership do the same thing? i really hope so.......

1) Do you live in a really bad neighborhood?
2) Do you have roommates?
3) Have you ever had a brain fart and thought you did something when you actually did something else?
If 1 and 2 are "no's," then just tear your house apart and look for your keys. If not, then tear your house apart and look for your keys.
1: i do not live in a really bad neiborghood, i live in my own apartment w/ my girlfriend.
2: i do not have room mates.
3: i have already torn my house apart looking for them and i cannot find them so its come down to the wire and i hope to god that the suzuki dealership can cut me a key or else i am screwed!
ok im am officially losing my mind! my bike has been sitting for almost a month now and i have torn my apartment apart looking for my key! i am at a loss for words to describe how pissed i am at my self. i have only one option left but i dont know if the dealership will sell me a new ignition switch with out thinking that i am trying to steal someone else's bike, but that seems like the only option i have left! i am about to pull all my hair out in agony! what can i do?
unfortunately this is where we start to run into problems i cant show them proof that i own it or even bought it because my friend that i bought it from was shipped off to iraq for 2 years and the title, receipt of purchase, and warranty info are all in his safe deposit box. you know what: F**K IT ALL TO MOTHERF*****G HELL! i am through with all this bull s**t of trying to ride my bike! i am just going to wait till he gets back to the states, unless i can find a way to get my bike up and running without running into another dead end!
Well whenever you do find them or if you get new keys put one of those key finders on it. All you do is whistle and it starts beeping really loud till you find them and turn it off.
hey do you have a cat? maby the cat knocked it under the stove, fridge? look in the least likely places. either that or your GF hid them cause she doesn't want you riding a bike.
Check the pockets of ALL the clothes you wore. Look in the washing machine, the dryer.
Tear your g/f's purse apart!
This reminds me of a George Carlin bit...
Q: Where did you have them last?
A: If I knew that I would still have my keys
Mom: "Well they didn't just get up and walk away!"
Him: "Right" - One time I lost the cat. It just got up and walked away.
You'll check everywhere for your keys. You'll look places you haven't been in 10 years for something you had 10 minutes ago.
Check inside everything, even the home made corn muffins. You could have been baking and dropped your keys in there causing them to become baked and trapped inside.
Also, check your grandfathers WWI uniform. You may have handed him the keys before the battle of Verdun.
