just ask your friend shit? be like "Dude are you taking (INSERT NAME HERE) to the prom? so that you can cure your curiosity ,and about her not wanting to go to prom with you maybe she sees you as something different or just sees you all the time and wants to be around someone different or something.
whoa whoa...so she told you not to tell anyone? but your not telling just anyone....your asking the guy she's going with? so technically your not telling anybody else because that guy already knows right? or does he? has she asked that guy out or does she plan on asking him or what?
mannnn...she prob. asked someone else. ..someone other than that guy. i always say, if you don't have a backup your at a loss. always had 2 dates for the proms i went to. even the ones not at my school. if one fell through (which happened 1 out of 4) i was set and ready to go. no waisted money on flowers and shit. i say, man up and ask her who she's going with. if you guys known each other for 2 years aready, she wouldn't have a problem telling you who. but on the other hand, if she said that guy and he's tellin' u that he's workin'....maybe he's gonna call out n is just clownin' with you. but, H.S. is just H.S. and almost everything can be settled by a basketball game or a fist fight and then be all good and friends again. i say, man up son...ask both parties what the damn deal is and be straight with yourself. no stress should be happenin' with high school prom. even if you go stag...as long as you go w/ a bunch of friends its gonna be a blast. ....
worst case senario...ask a frosh or soph. lol, then be done with it.

why dont you just ask her and him? you know her pretty well, i dont see what the problem is asking her? and if shes lying...then doesnt look good on her part
you said he couldnt tell you cause she trusts him? what is that suppose to mean? there both hiding something from you? seems like they both know not to tell you something. maybe she told him to not tell you there going together cause your friend doesnt want to hurt your feelings?
i dont know, but i would personally just ask her for the truth, you all "seemed" to be good friends at one point, dont stress over it. Just get it over with, the longer you wait, the more girls are going to be taken
that means shes thinking about. Doesn't mean no (necessarily). You said you haven't talked to her in years, so maybe thats why shes gotta talk it over with friends / think it over in her head.
