Hi guys, me and my girlfriend have been having some troubles, and if you read the email sent to Trojan you'll see why.
Hi Ive been a loyal user of Trojan condoms for some time now and have't been experiencing any problems until recently.
About 2 weeks ago my girlfriend and I bought a new 12 pack of Tojan Magnum Condoms. Now before I begin I would like to establish the fact that I am experienced with using condoms, both applying and removing them so please don't send me an e-mail saying that it was human error on my part as to why your product failed. Anyways, after using the first condom out of the pack I noticed the condom had broke. It didnt just break at the tip or a small tear, it broke in half. We went to the emergancy room and stayed there for 4 hours awaiting a perscription for Plan B, an emergancy contraceptive, this whole escapade costs a total of $136, all because your $2 product didn't do the sole thing it was ment to do. Were we mad? no. We were slightly upset at the cost of the hospital bill but after countless success with your condoms a single failure wasn't to be unexpected. However tonight, or should I say this morning, 3:26 in the morning to be exact, I sit here writing to your company out of pure anger. Anger that your product not only failed once, but twice in a row. It tooks weeks to convive my girlfriend that it was OK to have sex again, and what happens? We get another broken condom along with another $120+ bill from the hospital. Now it simply irrates me that your product is designed to do one simple thing and that is to prevent pregancy. Now if you would be so kind as to tell me why your product can't achieve the goal it was solely designed to do? Could you tell me what other industries allow they're product to fail and waive it off as an acceptable percantage of failure that is to be expected? To the best of my knowledge any product that fails and requires the consumer to pay out of the pocket expenses to correct the problem the product should have prevented, the manufacturer is required to pay the total in damages as far as the goverment sees it you are providing a product, when this product fails it as if I just handed you money and recieved no service at all, does this sound very legal to you?. Now as your company is most likely well aware the morning after pill, Plan B in particular, does not prevent pregancy 100%. to be accurate it reduces the risk of pregancy to under 1%. Now should our luck fall on that 1% and my girlfriend become pregant, legal action will be taken upon your company to pay for her medical expenses.
Now any advice on this subject matter whould be much appricated. But I am most curious in wether or not legal action can be taken. Like I said in the email, to the besy of my knowledge any product that fails to do what it was designed for the consumer is compensated for the price of the product and any expenses this faulty product has caused.

Wow my condom broke before but that's coz it wasn't wet anymore if you know what I mean. Hospital bills came to $500 or something for her to sit on a clean bed for a bunch of ninnys to take 3 hours to do a blood test, the actual blood test, the doctor fee, and for the pill. We didn't use insurance. It sucked.
no condoms are an assumption of risk product. meaning if they break u cant sue them. trojans are better than other cheap brands such as lifestyle or whatever they sell in the bathrooms. they are a SAFER not SAFE alternative to other brands. they are " triple tested" but theyre not bullet proof.
you had 2 condoms break in a row? were they from the same pack? cus if that pack was left in the sun or expired then u can have 36 condoms fail in a row? dont be mad if they break cus you should know that there is only ONE way to prevent pregnancies. it starts with Ab and ends with stinence.
good luck trying to find a lawyer and if u do find one hope that he/she charges a contingent fee arangement and not fixed, per hour, or retainer payment.

^^ what about my avatar chick? arent her boobies in violation of her shirt restrictions?
Try checking the "SELL BY THIS DATE" on the box. All organic and decomposable products should have one. That's what I do all the time when I'm getting a gallon of milk or any other food. Same goes for condoms.
Sorry to hear about your bad luck though. Maybe MAGNUM is too small for you! J/k!
Are you using sufficient lube, if the comdom doesn't have sufficient and proper lubrication of course it's going to rip. Also the wrong type of lube will cause the comdom to disintegrate at a faster rate. Use water based or spermicide lube to double your chances of knocking her up!
No response from Trojan yet aside from a "You are a valued customer and we will get back to you as soon as possible".
The expiration date for the pack is December 2008, there was no abnormal things done to the condoms. They never were left in the sun, in an extremely hot or cold enviroment. They were bought at night and brought straight back to my place where they stayed in the dresser. I am also well aware that oil based products will eat away at the condom so no such products were used. Lubrication was not a problem, meaning she was not "dry".
