1,"why does a car with cold air intake have better fuel economy?"

Simple, The engine is exerting less effort to suck in the same ammount of air = Better Effecncy = better fuel economy.

"Wouldn't that mean there is a leaner burn? Wouldn't a leaner burn imply more air?"

No, because the engine isnt sucking in more air, its just using less energy to suck in the same ammount of air. On naturally asperated engine, the Down stroke (with the intake valves open) Literally sucks air in to the combustion chamber. if you restrict the air flow, then the engine is forced to use more energy to suck. (Example, try to breath through a straw, you can still inhale the same amount of air as when you are normally breathing out your mouth, but it takes a lot more effort in order to do it.)

"Then I said so there is more air since you can pack more of it since its more dense"
Yes, Cold air is more dence. Meaning there are more O2 molecules per volume of air. so you arnt packing in more air, there is simply more Oxygen molecules per volume of air.

Nope, but I have it on good athorety that the Mugen LSD should be avoided... as it does not like to have one of the drive wheels come off the ground (shatter city!).

CSP preped CRX's tend to corner on 2 wheels....

^dude, just stop thinking about it & go to one, leave your car as is, figure out what class its in & just go.

Then figure everything out.

Make sure you tell them its your first one so somebody shows you around & tells you how to chase cones when your working the course.

Good luck maing

Fun cars, my only gripe about them is the Tortion beam semi independant rear suspension (Pain in the ass to alter alignments on, especially toe.)

One friend of mine has a Se-R(no LSD) and another has a Spec. Both are great, but the LSD sure does help. And yes the rear beam is a pain in the ass.

I live my life 1 cone at a time, for those 70 seconds or less, I'm free
