The MX. Better grip then the Yokohama AVS ES100 and the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 (on par with the Azenis) and they deal with heat MUCH better then the falkens.
I've run on the MX before, and it's a good tire. But if you are as serious about road racing as you say you are... It's about time to invest in a more aggressive tire compound, if you want to be competitive. But if money is the biggest issue, I 2nd the MX.
^^ agreed, if you really want to go road racing well then something like the AVON Tech R or Kumho ECSTA V700 and V700 Victoracer or Hoosier R3S03 and R3S04 (the A3S03 and A3S04 are too soft for road racing and over heat quickly) There are a few others...

i would love run those tires. but i'm short on money.
I just bought a house with my parents that i won't even be living in. iits a investment thing. if some of you guys remember, i was looking at getting a ITR a few month ago. now the ITR fund has been moved to new house.
AVS ES100s lasted about 17000 miles doing double duty. If that counts to you as lasting a while, have at it... I got about 8 months out of them I don't know what the exchange rate is, but that sounds aweful high... They should be about $80 US.
that's probably about a season, which is decent. how were they for heat cycling?
the canadian shops are retarded! 1010tires.com (BC) has 'em for $165 per tire.
Tire rack has them for $83 USD per tire, which is only $112 CAD
I guess I'll have to buy them from the states. Thanks for pointing that out, I probably would have just eaten the cost to get it locally...this is changing my mind.
Oh yeah: but how did they perform? were they OK doing double duty? ie: average for autoX, decent/good for street? I'm not worried about the wet traction.
Well, AVSES100s were designed for water... so whether you care about wet traction or not, you're getting it. As far as dry, they did pretty well. My whole final writeup on them is in the wheel/tire forum.
